They took wonderful care of my mother. Treat her just like family. I am very grateful and thankful for all They kindness.
I was impressed with the way this place looks inside Very clean, friendly staff.
Well where do I begin my mom was in willow point nursing home rehab over the holidays and her phone in her room wasn't working I had family members who are out of town as well family members who are in town trying to reach her for the holidays i called the supervisor and asked her could she go on the floor and check my mom phone when it was clear from the immediate attitude we were bothering her when all we wanted for her to do was go on the floor and just check the phone so our mom can talk to her family for the holidays never got any feedback or really don't even know if the supervisor ever…

The staff is offensive, mean, and unprofessional. The facility is staffed by young individuals who are not properly trained or show up to collect a paycheck. The staff in general failed to properly care for my loved one (dietary and bathroom duties), to the point we had to cover all meals to ensure he eat. It was the worst experience of my life and I still have nightmares about the staff!
The room or accommodations are fine. The staff is inattentive, out right cruel, and unprofessional. This was observed not only with my loved one but with other patients. Some examples are: putting patients in a group setting to eat, but not providing help when a patient couldn’t feed themselves. Also, not contacting the family (POA or designated contact) when a patient was rushed to a hospital. Only to find out about the hospital visit from the loved one the next day when visiting - a regulatory violation. The staff overall failed to attend to patients needs (eating and bathroom duties), denied patient dietary needs, and were outright rude and unprofessional in any interactions. I wouldn’t recommend this facility and question how New York state allows this facility to remain open.
I toured the memory care area of Willow Point as a potential residential option for my mom. The facility seemed clean and residents seemed pretty happy but I was surprised to see dementia/alzheimers residents sharing rooms. When I asked about safety concerns tied to potential verbal and physical altercations which can happen with alzheimers patients, the staff member cavalierly said "they don't remember it the next day anyhow". I was floored by the lack of professionalism and respect for these residents. Also, this same staff member rolled her eyes and made a joke about a resident for having her hand in her pants waistband. I do not believe, based on what I saw that this facility would provide the level of compassion or safety, I would want for my parent or for anyone suffering from dementia.
The rehab part of the willow point is nice and clean and most of the staff there is very caring, cheerful, and supportive. The nursing side on the other hand is filthy, Corridors and resident bathrooms are always smelling. Social workers are rude and Uncooperative. Aides are nice, nurses, not so much.
Was a patient there twice this year for short term rehab. The staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. My room was clean and well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again. Staff was constantly asking if there was something that they could help me with. I was treated in a dignified manner and my privacy was respected. There was a library available as well as daily word puzzle sheets. A list of available activities was posted in my room. PT and OT staff provided daily therapy. There were alternative meals available if I didn't like what was offered on the main menu. The dietician visited me to ensure that my meal requirements would be meant.
