Great place to be, great activities 😁 I've came a long way, thank s Mt.View. 9 years

This place is wonderful- they put life into assisted living. My MIL is there - lots of great activities and outings. Great, caring staff.

Mount View Assisted Living was amazing. They do well there. It's a clean building and they know all the residents. They're very friendly and they take insurance. It's a clean area and they do a lot with the people. They have people come in and sing, they do magic shows, and they have a puzzle. There is a lot to keep them occupied. They have two dining areas. One dining area was called the 50s dining area and that's where it looks like back in the 50s with the checkered floor. It's pretty. They serve your soups, your salads, and sandwiches if that's what the residents choose to eat. Then they…

Then they have a formal dining room where you get a full-course meal. The day we were there, they had lasagna and salad. Everything was fresh because the owner had a garden. They make their own gardens and they grow their own vegetables for the whole year. He's pretty good and the residents are the ones that take care of it. They weed it, fertilize it, and everything. So, it also gives them something to do. The owner is there every day except on Tuesdays. I live not too far from there, and every 4th of July they have this massive 4th of July party where they have fireworks. Lots of people go there with their families and they invite everybody there. They do Christmas parties, too, and they take them out on a whitewater rafting down there in the gorge.

There are a couple of nurses that are rude and nasty. They do not call when your parent has a fall or accident. The nurses do not call me because they think that I should not be bothered. They don't tell the resident or me about a scheduled doctor's appointment a day or two before they need to go, just come up to the room an hour before they need to go and tell them to get ready to leave. You can never get ahold of the case worker, leave messages for months with no reply. avoiding this place would be in anybody's best interest, because they certainly do not have the resident's best interest when it comes to their health and well-being.

My sister just recently moved into Mount View Assisted Living. It has multiple floors and two separate dining areas. One was more like for bigger meals and had a restaurant feel to it, and then they have another that is just a general dining area. So, it gives the residents a couple of different options. In the restaurant area, it's more like a restaurant menu-style, and the other area is like a common area, so they have oatmeals, cereals, sandwiches, and pretty much every day breakfast and general things. They do have activities, not as many right now during COVID, but they do have things to keep them active. There's a group that does different things daily, and then they let people get involved as much as they can, but the rooms are more of a one-bedroom. It's like one big room with a closet and a separate bathroom. Then they have laundry services too.

Very good, someone I know works here.

The thing that was not to our liking about this community was the size of the facility and the number of people there, it seemed like the care service were a little down due to the size.

Don't hesitate to put your loved one here! My Mil has been here only 3 months and She loves it! They keep her busy. She has Bible study, bingo nights, movie nights and these are only the activities she participates in. They had stain glass classes and had Medieval Times dinner and play. Library, Yarn room, Game room, Gardens. They also bring different animals in for a visit. Last week she held a baby kangaroo!! She also loves the food. Soup, Salads and entree every lunch/dinner! One morning my Mil fell in her room. What was really great is that, they called 3-4 times even though she was fine. It means alot that they cared enough to let us know. Also it's nice that she gets her own room and Ac/heating unit. Alot of these places you share one. The staff is really nice to her. She has mobility issues but is all together mentally, so she would let us know. We feel good that we aren't just putting her somewhere to just sit in her room all day. I was a little worried about how many residents (150) thinking she might not get everything she needs but she does! I really thought this place was too good to be true. We are really happy with Mount View. Edit: It's been 2 years and still 5 stars. We talk to my MIL daily. She loves the food. Everything is homemade and she has so many choices. 2 cafeterias. They really try and keep my mil active. They suggest and motivate her. I think some of the staff are a bit rough around the edges but I think it's for the best. They know what they are doing. They have took all precautions with the coronavirus. I honestly don't think id want her anywhere else. Please! Keep up the Good Work!
