I can’t say enough about the incredible care my mother has received at Brookdale Memory Care. From the moment she arrived, the staff welcomed her with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. They take the time to truly understand her needs and personality, and it shows in the way she’s treated every single day. What stands out most is the sense of calm and dignity they bring to an environment that could otherwise feel overwhelming. What stands out most is the sense of calm and dignity they bring to an environment that could otherwise feel overwhelming. The caregivers communicate regularly, keep me informed, and go above and beyond to make sure my mom feels safe, engaged, and loved. It gives me great peace of mind knowing she’s in a place where people care about her as a person—not just as a resident. Brookdale has become an extension of our family, and I’m deeply grateful for the comfort and quality of life they’ve helped restore to my mom. — Karen Hollands
We had a very disappointing experience. The younger staff were caring and the older staff, jaded. We needed placement for a couple and were told they could do end of life care with Hospice. Unfortunately, they didn’t tell us that such care could not include bringing in a hospital bed. They were too eager to to “qualify” this senior couple, one of whom died in less than a month, and the survivor left the next day. I question their sanitation practices. Security is also a concern. I was never asked who I was, and I walked in and out without an issue. Remember this is a for-profit location.…

Mom never went and still billing me. Like they obviously don't know who is there. Overpriced and rooms are sad looking. Really wouldn't put my dog in Brookdale Ithaca NY.
I visited the facility as a volunteer and the staff members were all kind and cheerful.
My father moved into The Crossings at Brookdale in Ithaca about 6 months ago. We have been so impressed with the staff--they could not be kinder or more professional. Each of them has developed a very personal and caring relationship with my dad. He feels appreciated and loved. The facility is very nice, particularly the dining area and Great Room. Dad loves the fireplace. The staff works to tailor activities to the interests of each resident and coordinates outings as well. We are so glad that we found Brookdale for him.
We placed my stepdad at Ithaca Brookdale Crossings last fall after having a less then optimal experience with another assisted living facility. If I could give the Crossings staff more than 5 stars, I would. Everyone knows my stepdad and his little quirks and just how to take care of him and other residents in a very loving and respectful manner. As family, I always feel taken care of too, and my requests to take him out for ice cream in the late afternoon or watch a movie in the evening are not a bother, but a joy to his life. I'm glad we found Crossings and would highly recommend it for someone who was searching for high quality dementia care in Ithaca NY.
My mother has moved into Brookdale Ithaca. The reason I chose them was their location. It is a very good fit. They have bingo, there are other group activities as well as the availability to go out shopping. The staff members are very friendly and very helpful. The place is very clean.
The atmosphere at Brookdale Ithaca is very nice. They allow people to keep their pets, which is very nice. The downside is that they're expensive. The dining room is very nice. The rooms had nice lighting and were clean. There was a room where there were a few people playing a game. The staff was very nice, personable, courteous, and extremely helpful. Everybody seemed pretty happy there. It's kind of like a hotel almost. They have suites, efficiency apartments, and studio apartments. The people I met in the hallways were nice.
