My dad had a stroke and stayed here recently for rehab for 2.5 weeks. The rehab program and employees were amazing and most of the nurses were too. Some he loved and talked to alot. However there was a nurse who walked in his room after his buzzer went off for a long time and refused to help him get out of bed and told him that and walked out of the room cause she was about to leave for her shift and was covering someone elses break. This was addressed with management and was totally unacceptable behavior for a nurse working there. Another nurse was not very nice when he had an accident…

This was addressed with management and was totally unacceptable behavior for a nurse working there. Another nurse was not very nice when he had an accident either after waiting over 30 mins after ringing his buzzer for help to the bathroom. He couldn't walk or get out of bed alone due to his stroke. Sometimes he waited an hour for help when ringing his buzzer which is to long. Other then those two nurses and long wait times for help when ringing his buzzer numerous times the experience was good. They could definitely be 5 stars if they make some adjustments to their nursing staff.
Our mom spent the last two years of her life at St. Camillus. She did not want to go into a long term care facility but soon realized she could not live on her own. The nurses, aids, physical therapists, staff, custodians and even the ladies who ran the gift shop all treated her (as well as the rest of our family) with much kindness and respect. The nurses, aids, physical therapists, staff, custodians and even the ladies who ran the gift shop all treated her (as well as the rest of our family) with much kindness and respect. She was especially fond of the weekly music program, bingo, and the outdoor courtyard with the flowers, koi fish pond and the arrival of the ducklings every spring. She looked forward to these activities and it helped with her independence and socialization. We met many other families that were very supportive and have stayed in touch. Lastly, on the day she passed, the chaplain, Candance, organized the "Walk of Honor" where staff and residents gathered in the hallway to say goodbye to our mom. Overall, we were very pleased with mom's time at St. Camillus. If you happen to be in the courtyard, look for the benches in memory of "Ginny." Becky from the Media/Marketing Dept. was so helpful in making our donation memorable. Thank you St. Camillus for taking such good care of our mom. The Rhoades Family
My father resides here, and i am in the process of removing him. I have reported to corporate about staff member Samira Williams and her unprofessional, unacceptable and abusive behavior. I have asked staff (Samira Williams) not to speak to my father with a negative tone and also tugging on his arm with too much aggression but she continues to do so, I have reported this incident to corporate if there really is a corporate, I'm really afraid for my fathers life. People like her should not be allowed to work here. Please call and visit and check on your loved ones if they are here.
This is completely unacceptable. Don't you have administration or management? New York state department of health
Great facility just spent a month there. Nursing and day staff is good but overnight staffing is shoddy at best. Physical and occupational therapy are exceptional .
My father spent his last 7 months at St. Camillus. He was very happy there. He actually improved a bit there after being bedridden in our home for 5 months. They were able to get him up into a wheel chair where he could go to weekly bingo games, (he always called to let me know how many times he had won and saved his winning coupons to use at the gift shop.) He went to church services there every Thursday. Every Friday afternoon he went to the musical program. There were often games and music right in his unit's lounge area. He, like many seniors, complained sometimes. With staffing shortages everywhere, sometimes things took a little longer. Sometimes the food wasn't hot. Some times he didn't like what he got, but when he let the staff know, they would go get him something else. When the weather permits, residents can go sit in either of the two courtyards. That is where my father met some of his new friends. Depending on the residents' condition, they are able to move freely around the facility. Visitation is available 24 hours a day. Pets are allowed to visit. One of the things that makes St. Camillus so special is all the volunteers. They help push wheelchairs to all the events and there are weekly events and special events. They help the residents celebrate special days. I have many pictures of my father taken there for Halloween pumpkin decorating, Hawaiian shirt day, back to scool day, a picture with Elvis and many more. Again, with staff shortages, and so many residents, sometimes there can be a wait. But from my experience with my father at St. Camillus, I couldn't imagine him being happier or better cared for anywhere else. In fact, I have already told my family that if and when my time comes to need a nursing home, I want to go to St. Camillus.
The care was poor. The nurse was mean to my mom and our family. All the nurse has time for is pushing the med cart around. She did not give any kind of care to my mom. My mom fell out of bed 2x while there even though we requested Bed Rails for her. Most of the staff is clueless or just doesn't care and that includes the doctors who do not stick around too long.. Don't go there .
Absolutely useless "Care" facility. They can't even be bothered to give antibiotics!
