3.6 · 38 reviewsI would love to say that my family member is a resident here and the place is just beautiful and very clean always smells great staff is lovely recreation always has so many lovely things they do with them . Recreation has some good caring and loving staff especially on the weekends I come to to visit my aunt at anytime during the weekend she is always happy laughing and be entertained she really likes RED the worker with the long red hair we appreciate her how happy she make our aunt
I inquired of Nursing Homes and was recommended to Norwegian Christian Homes in Brooklyn New York. For short term rehab it was recommended that the nurse manager on the 4th floor is professional and her staff is very caring. Even though we ended up going to Jersey.
I want everyone to know that my mom has been at Norwegian for a number of years and I would not want her in any other facility. The aids Maria especially the staff the director of Nursing the nurses like Kelly and Lloyd and many others are like family. My mom is treated beautifully with respect and love never mistreated. I finally am writing this because I came back from another Nursing home in Brooklyn for my father in law and I saw someone being mistreated and that hurts. We all have moms how these aids get a position if they don't have LOVE for the elderly that are helpless!! Thank you…

I finally am writing this because I came back from another Nursing home in Brooklyn for my father in law and I saw someone being mistreated and that hurts. We all have moms how these aids get a position if they don't have LOVE for the elderly that are helpless!! Thank you Norwegian for all you do!!!

This place stinks! literally it smells like a wet mop when enter the facility they need to hire new janitors not very sanitary
If I could give a 0 I would! 😶🌫️🥶I was given THE OPPORTUNITY FROM THE EMAIL EXCHANGE (w/Tina Pappanastos Director of Admissions for the Norwegian Christian Home & Health Center) TO SET UP A TOUR ASAP (AS MY DAD WAS ADMITTED IN AN EMERGENCY W/ PNEUMONIA TO MSK) for my Mother Who was leaving Hamilton (also a nightmare) from a femur fracture still barely walking since Aug. Instead of working on a time that could work for BOTH PARTIES ON SUCH SHORT BUT IMPERATIVE SUDDEN CHANGE OF NOTICE. (I still had 10 days to transfer by insurance) DID NOT HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY TO EMAIL BACK ANY RESPONSE WHEN I PRESENTED ALTERNATIVES TO MAKING MYSELF AVAILABLE ON TINA’S SCHEDULE! If you can’t RETURN MY EMAIL OR CALL, YOU CERTAINLY CANNOT BE TAKING CARE OF THE ELDERLY CORRECTLY. As an RN in Healthcare for 20 years, YOU ARE THE HEAD OF THE PROBLEM IF NOT THE NECK! PROFESSIONALISM IS EXPECTED, COMPASSION& EMPATHY PROVIDED W/ACCOMMODATIONS & “MUSTS” BUT TRUST IS EARNED & U LOST MINE AS WELL AS ANY & EVERY-NURSE DOCTOR SOCIAL WORKER PATIENT AND FAMILY I COME ACROSS IN THE NEXT 20 yrs . Ok behave of myself and my sister ( Liljana Vincani) we are truly grateful and appreciative to the entire staff . This was her first time visiting this location, she felt save and appreciated by the staff.I would like to say this loudly, the care provided was exceptional. Highly recommend this place for everyone for care and a welcoming environment.
I am so glad I live here on the assistant livinging side because loosing my husband was very hard an everyone here has been so nice an comforting to me.
10/10 ! True review !!! ⬇️ They are a great rehab ! Doing right by my mom and seeing all her needs and taken care of her. I couldn’t ask for a better place for her. They showed compassion and when my mom wasn’t feeling well . Took blood work / EKG to check to make sure everything was okay . When I would call up, I immediately got responses . The director Karen is very nice to talk to ! . Very clean place !!
