I found that the staff was very attentive to my loved one's needs and was in constant communication with me regarding health. Only staff member I was not 100% happy with was the facility Dr (nurse was good) who was very difficult to reach ... however all other staff was great.

The very last one that I visited was Harborview Senior Living. It's a beautiful place, it's very nice, but they don't cater to people with dementia. It's for people who are on their own and who don't have big problems like my sister. My sister needed one-on-one care and someone to attend to her 24 hours a day, so that wasn't the place, although it was a nice place. I liked it because it was close to where I live, so it would be easy for me to see her, but if it's not going to work for her, then it's not good. The staff members were good, though. They explained everything, and they were very truthful about dementia. The place appeared to be very clean. Everything was in order, and everybody seemed like they knew what they were doing. It looked good to me.

Harborview - Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn..... I would like to say the staff was phenomenal, very attentive to my father's needs and tried to make him feel at home as much as possible for an assistive living facility. They treated him with utmost care and he felt as if they were his friends as well. They check on the residents throughout the night to ensure their safety. The facility does have daily activities if residents wish to participate. The facility was a little run down however that can easily be overlooked due to it's size. There was an outdoor section that had unshaded as well as shaded areas, a computer/library/ lg screen tv room for weekly movies, a large room for socializing as well as a full size cafeteria. They made his last days as happy as possible and were in constant contact with me regarding his health and any issues that he had.

I REPEAT don't send your love ones here THEY DON'T TAKE CARE OF THEM I had my father there because of their NEGLIGENCE he developed bedsores and he just looked like he was being ABUSED IN THERE BY STAFF there and they even lost his clothes in there(WHERE'S HIS CLOTHES AT MARIA ?)it pains me deeply to even write this but im going to let everyone know not to send love ones there PLEASE As im looking this is a bad place for sick family members enough you have to worry about the health now there well being there too hopefully someone steps in to stop this place for hurting more families if you haven't noticed they won't respond to address these issues cause they know what is going on in there place. AVOID THIS PLACE seek better accommodations CHECK OUT THE REVIEWS Unfortunately my dad has passed 😢 😞 😔 DON'T UNDERSTAND UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT BUT STILL SAME RESULTS AND REVIEWS SMH THINGS DON'T CHANGE IN THERE GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO ARE BEING FOOLED FUNNY they are trying to get people to give them better ratings to hide what goes on in there read the real reviews this is flat out a bad place HEY MARIA WHY DON'T YOU RESPOND BACK TO LISA ROGERSON POST?

The place is very nice. They keep it very well put together and clean. The staff on the other hand is terrible! They Feed the residences garbage, you could have high blood pressure diabetes or allergies to certain food all will get served the same food. My mother is deathly allergic to fish and still they put fish in front of her every single week and then just hand her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich if she says I can’t eat that. My mother was also out of the facility for two months at a nursing home for rehabilitation. So now I am being told that she owes Social Security money for those two months because nobody reported that she was out of The facility. Then they had the decency to tell me she has a balance. I’ve been calling them constantly to find out if anybody actually got on the phone to find out when her money will be continued as well as Harborview’s office to address her not being held responsible for the two months they didn’t get paid. Nobody communicates with you. They smile in your face and promise to assist or address any needs of your loved ones and don’t nor do they get back to you when you follow up. They have no compassion for any of the Residences there. It seems like it’s only about getting paid. Believe me, I’ve sat there at the facility and I’ve seen all types of things go on there. There are so many issues with this place and I would like to know who is higher up to contact other than their director.
