Resident & family reviews
4.1 · 18 reviewsMy mom was a resident at Good Samaritan Nursing Home for a year and a half, until her passing, and I can’t say enough good things about the people who cared for her. This place is a family, and it’s always clean and well-kept. A few staff members truly stood out. Brock, the maintenance person, somehow did everything — and always with real love and care for the residents. Kaitlyn, one of the nurses, went above and beyond for my mom and treated her like family. Patricia, the social worker, is one of the kindest people you could meet. And Shannon always went the extra mile for whatever my mom…

Patricia, the social worker, is one of the kindest people you could meet. And Shannon always went the extra mile for whatever my mom needed. The aides were very kind to her, and the physical therapy staff is excellent, too. Recreation kept the clients happy and engaged every day. There are so many more staff members I haven’t named who were just as caring and gave so much of themselves. My family is grateful to every one of them. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be genuinely cared for, this is it.
My mom has been a resident in the Cottage at Good Sam for over 20 months. All of the employees associated with Mom’s care are well trained and diligent in their responsibilities; it comforts us to feel that the staff respects Mom as an aging adult. Our family receives calls during relevant circumstances to immediately inform us of needed changes in care or to advise us of the many special events being planned for the residents. The Memory Care Support Specialist, Jess, makes every effort to provide the residents with exciting special activities periodically throughout the year. These activities allow more family members to join in the festivities with their loved ones. Daily recreational exercises are organized by Nick who personally engages each of the participating residents in an effort to enhance their day-to-day routines. Along with all the medical support employees, we are comforted that Mom is loved and well cared for by the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. In our experiences with all staff members, we would highly recommend GS to others.
My mom was there till she passed 11/11/12. Place and staff were wonderful. It always smelled like mamma’s house on Sundays. Mmmm Delicious!!! Her name was Mary Eichhorn.

The place is clean, and I love that. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
My girlfriends grandfather sadly was here. Staff was constantly rude, ignoring these poor people that were yelling for help, call Belll lights lit up in the hall like it’s Christmas. Some staff seemed OK but others didn’t want to be bothered. This one lady was laying in the hall with filthy close, begging for help. I hope I never ever have to stay in some place like this it looked awful
My father was here. Lack of care. NP was awful. Residents begging for help. Residents left in wet diapers. CNAs won’t help people who need a lot of help. Staff talking about residents and their family. It’s a [language removed] shame.
Lack of care. Residents begging for help. CNA s are frustrated. Should not wait so long while in wet pee. Sad for patients. Staff like to put the blame on patients. Not the case.
My Mother was at GS for 3 months; every Staff member was extremely attentive to her; whenever one of my family members called, the phone was answered immediately; if we needed to speak to a Staff member, we were connected right away. ---cozy rooms, also.
