I stayed at Glengariff rehab in the Pratt building for almost 3 months and my stay was exceptional. The building and grounds are beautiful and I would strongly recommend anyone to stay at Glengariff. All the people in the rehab department helped me out tremendously. Ray in PT and Kiran in OT are the best. The food was great, any issues you have you can speak with the dietitian or the concierge and they will take care of you. Recreation, is great as well and had a lot of fun and diversified activities to keep me entertained. The aides have good training and are very helpful. Alex the concierge…

Concierge Alex useful and very helpful in helping make menu selections, transporting, making arrangements, friendly and always available and solving problems. Laundry is done well but lost item from my husband was never found. When they were shortstaffed, the medicine sometimes came late. Nurses have good knowledge of the medications. Nurses were sometimes to talkative when giving out meds. Recreation has a plentiful and varied program and the brunch is very nice. I was well kept and informed of my progress by the social workers and by the care plan meetings. Friendly and thorough housekeeping department. Overall a satisfactory stay.
My experience with this rehabilitation facility was extremely disappointing. Aside from Nancy (the wound care nurse), Dr. Busher, Dr. Kahan, Irena from dialysis, and the therapists, inaddition sherry who were all compassionate, professional, and provided excellent care, the overall quality of nursing care was unacceptable. Throughout my patient's stay, medications were frequently missed, delayed, or unavailable because prescriptions had run out. Patients were often ignored, treated disrespectfully, and had their doors closed while they were asking for help. Basic hygiene and incontinence care…
Basic hygiene and incontinence care were not consistently provided appropriately. Response times to call bells could exceed an hour, and on weekends it was common for staff to be unavailable for extended periods. There were many occasions when my family had to clean and care for my patient ourselves because no staff could be found. Despite specific medical instructions to protect her pressure wound, staff sometimes told her to urinate or have a bowel movement in her brief rather than assist her to the bathroom. She was also not repositioned regularly as required to help prevent and treat pressure injuries. While there were a few exceptional individuals who genuinely cared for my patient. my overall experience with the facility was deeply upsetting. I sincerely hope no other patient or family has to endure the level of neglect and lack of care that we experienced. No family should have to worry that their loved one will not receive the basic care, dignity, and compassion they deserve. The nerve to say lets speak about it when they were spoken to 100 times a day.
The post-hospital care that I received was excellent. My PT Lisa and OT Nicole were professional and compassionate assisted me to ambulate again safely. The Second Floor Nursing Staff and all of the CNA's were all so professional and compassionate during my healing process. I recommend this facility highly. Thankyou to all.
i’ve been here since February. the care is exceptional and the staff are the best (way better than any other place i’ve been, hospitals includes) the concierge is also wonderful. rehab is wonderful too. i’ll definitely miss that because they push everyone to do their best and get stronger. thank you specifically to norma and Clautide my cna’s, Dr. khan, and ross the concierge and the rehab staff who all made my stay here so comfortable. i recommend glen gariff to anyone who needs rehab.
I’m wrapping up my stay at Glengariff.I must say the rehab team here is superb especially Lisa and Rob.They are through and care about everyone. The nursing team such as Danielle and Anna and aides such as Monica, Misma, Rosette and Sandra here are well trained and efficient.I am happy I am in the care of Glengarriff’s nursing team.My concierge Ross is a very efficient facilitator. He gets things done to the highest degree and treats everyone with respect.I appreciate everything he has done. I am leaving here restored to the level I desired to go back home!! Thank you Glengariff!
I stayed at Glengariff facility for 5 weeks. The facility itself and the surroundings are very scenic. All the personnel I interacted with, the nurses, the PT and OT and helping staff were courteous and kind. I would like to mention Nirse Tiffany and Maxine in particular for their kindness and empathy. I had excellent PT and OT sessions with Sushmita and Kiran respectively. They were very diligent and excellent taskmasters pushing me gently to do more. Both doctors were very caring. The last but not least but more importantly Besi in his role as concerige is an excellent face of the organisation. He is very kind and caring. One thing that needs improvement is the food quality and service.
Our dad recently attended the rehab facility at Glengariff. Glengariff exceeded our expectations in every way and we absolutely recommend this facility. Besides it being a pleasant atmosphere and very well-maintained, what truly made Glengariff stand out was the amazing staff who work there. From day one, our concierge, Ross, was extremely helpful, supportive and always available to answer any of our questions. The rehab team (Mark, Stephanie, Caitlyn), medical team (Dr. Khan), nursing team (Danielle, Yasser, Ana), aide team (Maggie, Monica and all others on the 2nd floor), social worker (Sheri) and the entire administration all ensured our dad was comfortable and making progress at all times. Over time the staff had become like family to us, so much so that when my dad was discharged it was hard to say goodbye. It was truly a positive experience! From the family of R. Johnson
