Unfortunately, due to the progression of my sister's illness, she will now have to have nursing home care. Even during my brief association with Mike, I can honestly say I was very impressed with him. He is the ultimate professional, covers all bases, is courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable about his line of work. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike McClernon only once when he arranged and accompanied me on tours of two very nice assisted living facilities for my sister. Unfortunately, due to the progression of my sister's illness, she will now have to have nursing home care. Even during my brief association with Mike, I can honestly say I was very impressed with him. He is the ultimate professional, covers all bases, is courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable about his line of work. He tailored the tours around my sister's needs at the time, and this really helped to streamline the process. I would very much recommend using his services for your needs. You won't be disappointed.
Mike McClernon was a tremendous help in finding the right independent living community for us. He was knowledgeable, patient, and truly listened to our needs and preferences. His knowledge of our local area was invaluable and his guidance made what could have been an overwhelming and emotional process much easier and we’re very grateful for his support.
Mike was an absolute God send. He walked us through a very difficult time and brought calm to a very stressful situation. He answered all our questions and phone calls and I'm very grateful we found him. I highly recommend him to anyone who is seeking Assisted Living care for themselves or their loved one.

I have been working in Senior World assisting senior placements in Pennsylvania for the last 30 years. Understanding the need for someone with local marketplace knowledge, analytical skills and compassion were top on my list in choosing a person to help me navigate the Senior Living Placement Market on Long Island. Mike McClernon of Assisted Living Associates checked all of those boxes. He first gave us a preliminary list of what he thought were viable options based on our initial conversation plus his insight to each of the facilities. During our tours Mike’s keen eye was able to help us evaluate the subtilties of each of the facilities we visited. After our tours Mike was able to help us evaluate our short list and make the best decision for my brother-in-law. We feel very confident in the choice that Mike helped us make. Mike is seasoned professional that I can highly recommend.
Working with Michael has been a gift. He literally feels like a Saint crossed with a guardian angel. Navigating “how do I find the right place for my sick mother to be properly cared for” is maybe one of the hardest situations I have ever been tasked with. Until I met Michael. His voice is calm, his expertise was clear and it felt like he understood what I was looking for from the very first conversation which made it easy to establish trust. And after I visited my first facility, that trust was solidified. He helped me understand timelines, the real cost structure and what I could expect in terms of care for my mother. He was transparent about the positives and negatives (if any) of every place discussed. I ultimately placed my Mother with his first recommendation. And I am forever grateful.
Mike at Assisted Living Locators was my first stop in my journey to find a nice, assisted living facility for my mom on Long Island. He was courteous and professional and handled setting up all of the tours and interviews for the process. He spent time to understand our goals and budget which lead to productive visits.
