We sincerely appreciate the exceptionally personalized and caring approach at the Regency. The Director, Stella truly cares and that is reflected out in every aspect of the Regency- from the staff to the activity planning and the tone that is set everyday.
Our father, Agostino, moved into The Regency about three months ago, and we couldn’t be happier. His full-time aide has been a blessing, taking excellent care of him and helping him acclimate well. The entire staff is exceptionally kind, attentive, and treats everyone with respect and dignity. From the moment you walk into the beautiful lobby, it is clear that The Regency is a family. We are also very impressed with the variety of engaging activities that provide him with consistent opportunities to interact with other residents and staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Regency at Glen Cove. When I first began this journey, I was honestly hesitant. I didn’t feel it was the right fit for my mother and initially hoped to place her in a more independent living environment. However, after doing extensive research—especially following my mother’s stroke—I came to better understand the importance of “aging in place” and ensuring she would have the care she truly needs both now and in the future. Choosing The Regency turned out to be one of the best decisions I could have made. From the very beginning, Stella, the Executive Director, was incredibly patient, understanding, and informative. She took the time to listen to my concerns and helped guide me through what was, at the time, a very emotional and overwhelming process. The staff at The Regency has been nothing short of amazing. There are so many caring individuals, and every single one of them has been warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. What stood out to me most is how welcomed my mother felt immediately—she was truly touched that everyone seemed to know her by name, which brought her such comfort and a sense of belonging. As a daughter, the peace of mind I now have is immeasurable. Knowing that my mother is safe, cared for, and surrounded by compassionate people has lifted an enormous weight off my shoulders. I am so grateful for the support, professionalism, and heart that the entire Regency team provides every day. If you are navigating this difficult decision for a loved one, I can wholeheartedly say that The Regency is a place where residents are treated with dignity, warmth, and genuine care.
Our parents are very happy, comfortable and so well taken care of at The Regency. All their needs are met and my sister and I couldn’t be happier for them! They’re enjoying the activities, the food and making new friends. They’ve only been in their new apartment for 2 1/2 months and are already calling it “home”! Stella and the whole staff are top notch! They go above and beyond! Easy to give The Regency a 5 star rating - it’s a warm, loving, professional community for sure!
My husband looked happy. He loves food, good food. I am moving us out of our home of 23 years and sole caregiver to my husband and 72 years old. My husband is unable to help with his later stage Parkinson’s. It’s very rough. I got things mixed up with the papers from the Dr. She signed the paper but had me fill out the drugs he’s on. Stella is excellent at handling the mishap. How ever the other woman was definitely not happy with me. I’m sure they are very busy there. And a lot going on. All I could do was feel bad about the whole thing. They call early in the morning. I don’t usually look at my phone messages enough. Why? I’m old school I guess you could say. So fill out those papers and get them in quick. I was told I could bring all the papers in when I check him in by another girl. So I didn’t sweat it. Lost in translation. It happens.
The Regency truly cares about it's residents. Putting my mom in an assisted living facility was not an easy process but Stella and the rest of the regency staff made us feel welcomed from day 1. Staff: There are tons of people on staff at every level of this place. From what I've read about choosing an assisted living facility this is the number 1 green flag and they certainly have it. They can handle independent to very dependent and scale their pricing based on it. Food: Simply phenomenal. The dinners are restaurant quality, you can get on omelet at every breakfast as well as french toast. Self serve coffee bar that makes Nespresso Cappuccinos and hot chocolate as well as a self serve drink machine with lemonade and propel like drinks. I had salmon and cod despite not even liking fish and they both were excellent. Entertainment: In house movie theater that plays movies almost every night. Bingo, clubs and various trips so there's always something to do. The staff really tries here to keep residents engaged and social which is the most important thing for them actually enjoying their time here imo. Room: A wide selection of room types, we opted for the most basic one which comes with a fridge and a wet bar for around $6660 a month plus the caretaking fees. There are 3 elevators and the hallways constantly play classic rock. They will allow you to bring a cat as a pet as long as you take care of it and it's not a threat to leave the room which was a huge plus for us. Other Amenities: You can also bring a car and leave whenever you like. There is limited parking the back lot. There's a private dining room that you can book for meals with your family or friends. There's in house rehab, doctors, pharmacy and even a salon. The Regency is a great choice for your loved ones!
I never wanted to move my Mom out of her home, so much so that I quit my job and moved across the country with my partner 4 years ago to care for my Mom who had at the time been recently diagnosed with dementia. As her dementia progressed we were struggling to take care of her in her own home. I reluctantly toured A LOT of memory care homes and none were even comparable to The Regency. Every single staff member has been incredibly kind and caring and has taken such good care of my Mom. Residents are constantly engaged in activities and the staff cares for them like they are family. I honestly can't say enough great things about The Regency. It has been such a wonderful experience that my Mom's father who is 102 years old moved in less than a month after my Mom. I would highly recommend the Regency to anyone looking for Senior Living or Memory Care in the area. I hope they have a room available for me in the future!
My 93 year old Dad moved into the Regency in November. The facilities and the staff have been wonderful, making the transition for Dad go smoothly. Stella, Amanda, Mitch and the entire staff are caring and loving, always doing their best to create a comfortable and safe environment. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Dad is being well taken care of. Five stars for sure!!
