Resident & family reviews

The staff is professional and caring towards their residents. I highly recommend this facility!

A very poorly run assisted living facility, the coordinators do not respect the residents that live there, it's very difficult for the seniors to make medical appointments and get the medical attention that they need. When you called the number you hear a pre-recorded message that makes this place sound very plush and elegant, but the experience in real life for the residents there is almost like living in a prison facility!!! If you love your relatives do not bring them to this living facility.

I am extremely pleased with the care and services provided by Brooklyn Adult Care Center Assisted Living. From the moment I stepped into the facility, I was greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease. The staff is incredibly attentive, professional, and compassionate, always ensuring that the residents' needs are met with the utmost respect and care. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable living environment. The rooms are spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the residents. I especially appreciate the wide variety of activities and social programs offered, keeping everyone engaged, active, and involved in the community. The healthcare services are top-notch, with skilled nursing staff available around the clock to provide the best possible care. The peace of mind knowing that my loved one is in such good hands is invaluable. I highly recommend Brooklyn Adult Care Center Assisted Living to anyone seeking a loving, supportive, and professional environment for their family members. It truly feels like a home, and I am grateful for all the care and attention given to the residents.

Brooklyn Adult Care Center is clean and everything inside. The staff was pleasant. The tour was good. They have a lot of activities. I looked at one of the rooms and it's nice. I think my mom will be comfortable there. For activities, they have a pool table. There's a patio where you can go out and sit. There's an activity room and a lady there, who was reading the newspaper. And then there are different games that they can play. The staff who gave the tour was very nice.

The people at the front desk who pick up the phone calls seem really rude, always rushing, speaking so fast that I could barely understand what they were saying then they put you on hold for over 7 minutes without even checking with you to let you know what is going on. They need some etiquette training ASAP!!!.

My sister has moved into Brooklyn Adult Care Center. So far, she's comfortable. She said that they treated them very well and every minute someone comes in and checks in on them. Every minute, someone will cross the corridor and knock on their doors to see if they're okay, which is very good. They have a big dining room area. They get to see the doctors there. They have a recreation room. They're free to come and go as they want there. If they want to go with their family, they can go but they just have to let them know that they're going out. The staff are very friendly and very pleasant people. They're very helpful. The meals are excellent. They feed them breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

At first sight, I didn't like the surrounding areas at Brooklyn Adult Care Center. There were cigarette butts all around the place before you came in. It wouldn't have been a good fit for my aunt. Not at all. The staff was very nice though, and the concept was very good, but it just wasn't what we were looking for. The activities were also very good, but I didn't like the rooms. They were too small for two adults to be in one room. They don't have enough space for their own personal things. The furnishing wasn't good either. The place needs a refresher, maybe a paint job or something. They showed me the whole place. I saw where the doctors were, and the physical therapy and all of that. That was a good thing that they have that deal where they give you medication. The problem I had was the furnishing, the area, and the type of people that were there.
