Mom was in Memory Care for 18 months here. She was able to get out on several occasions. When I visited she had no toilet paper and the staff told me they would get some. They did not. Doors to the courtyard were always locked. Mom was left on the flooir crying while staff and residents walked over her.
I toured Brookdale Bellevue. The price was good, and I like the size of it. It was fairly clean. The staff members were fine. However, they're a step below everybody else. They were friendly enough and nice enough, but they didn't look as professional as most other places. The rooms were fine. However, I don't like the layout because they have memory care, but it's only one wing, so the memory care people would be in one small section, and I did not like that. The atmosphere was good, homey, and nice, though.

Building needs a brighter cheerier atmosphere. A fresh coat of paint; less "dark wood". Building showing its "age". Interior face lift needed. Staffing- on/off again; ....hear "their shorthanded" more than I'd like to hear. Times they don't follow through when asked to get or do something. Some aids could be a bit warmer towards residents. It feels sometimes, you are bothering them or interrupting what they were doing (texting)... Activities- could use a few new activities.
The staff is Very friendly and knows each resident by first name. The facility isn't a 5 star hotel, but good value for the price. We wish it was located closer to our home and have had issues with the laundry service not returning clothes. Otherwise we are very happy with this facility.
Staff are all extremely caring and welcoming from the start. There was bed, dresser and wardrobe. We didn't bring any furniture, just family photos. They provided TV. Assistance provided for all needs.
I cannot say enough positive things about our Brookdale Bellvue experience. After touring 8 other assisted living communities I knew within minutes of meeting Danielle that we had found the right place for my parents. She was so gracious with her time, open and kind. Touring the community I could see the care and compassion that the staff gave to their residents. We moved both of my parents into assisted living. They unfortunately progressed quickly with their dementia and needed more care than assisted living provides. The staff helped us find another Brookdale community that had a companion room for them and was closer to my home. We waited 3 weeks for their room in memory care to open up. In that time the entire staff went above and beyond taking extra care of them while we waited. We are truly grateful to Brookdale Bellvue.
My mom has dementia and needs help with just about everything, my dad was her caretaker and passed, I realized that we wouldn't be able or capable of taking care of her, I'm so glad that I contacted A Place for Mom they made it easy to get Mom a place that fit her needs and ours. Brookdale Bellevue is a great place for her journey to start, they help her with daily routines and have structured days that keep her busy and engaged with everyone. Anything she wants or needs is filled here, we are happy with the care she is receiving and glad that they are friendly and helpful. So happy to A Place for Mom and Brookdale Bellevue for everything you have and continue to do to help Mom and us.
