My husband spent approximately two and a half months at Briarcliff Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following brain surgery, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional care he received. The Physical Therapy team, especially Sergio and Hernan, was outstanding. Their knowledge, dedication, encouragement, and compassion helped my husband progress from being wheelchair-bound to walking with a walker before he was discharged. Their commitment to helping him achieve his goals made an incredible difference in his recovery. The nursing staff was equally wonderful. Everyone was professional,…
Everyone was professional, skilled, kind, and genuinely caring. I visited my husband every day, and I was always greeted with warmth and kindness. The atmosphere made me feel like family. The recreation department was another highlight of our stay. Under the direction of Ingrid, along with Dolce and Tati, the activities were creative, well-organized, and enjoyable. They brought so much energy, compassion, and heart to everything they did, making each day brighter for the residents and their families. The dining experience was another pleasant surprise. My husband is 95 years old and typically doesn’t eat much at home, yet while he was at Briarcliff Manor, he happily ate three meals a day and truly enjoyed the food. The head chef deserves great recognition for providing such delicious meals. I would also like to recognize Timothy from the kitchen, who stopped by our room almost every day just to say hello and see how we were doing. His kindness and genuine concern were remarkable, and he is truly an extraordinary young man. While every member of the staff contributed to our positive experience, outstanding leadership is what makes a place truly exceptional. Avi and Dovid led by example. Rather than remaining behind closed doors, they were visible throughout the facility, checking on residents, supporting their staff, and making themselves available. It was clear that they were highly respected by their team and deeply committed to the well-being of every resident. They always greeted us with a smile and sincerely asked how things were going. There are so many other staff members who helped make our experience a positive one, and we are grateful to every one of them. If you are looking for a rehabilitation center for a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Briarcliff Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Our family will always be grateful for the excellent care, compassion, and dedication they showed my husband throughout his recovery.
My mom is 95 years old I drove her upstate to see her baby sister today. Who’s is a resident at BCM. I wasn’t aware until my mom mentioned she was hungry, her HHA stated that mom had only eaten a piece of toast for breakfast early this morning. I panic looking in my phone for a near Resturant. I then asked the aide for a cafeteria I was told there isn’t one. Vending machines are available on the 1st floor. My aunt mentioned she would order a sandwich for my mom from the kitchen. About 10 minutes later a pleasant young man enters the room introduced himself and gave my mom a sandwich and a drink. My mom ate the sandwich, after she was able to enjoy a 2.5 hour visit with her sister. This simple act of kindness meant so much to our family it showed genuine care, respect and concern for an elderly visitor. In a world where kindness is sometimes overlooked his thoughtfulness made a lasting impression on me. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the young man for his kindness and compassion today. When someone goes beyond the call of duty like he did it is certainly worth mentioning. I want to thank Mark from the bottom of my heart for making a memorable time for me mommy & auntie.
First visit. Seems nicely organized.
My experience at Briarcliff Manor Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care was outstanding. I was admitted following spinal fusion surgery and, upon arrival, I was unable to walk. Thanks to the exceptional rehabilitation team, I received occupational and physical therapy twice a day from a caring, knowledgeable, and supportive staff. Their doctors met my every need. During my stay, I experienced some unexpected complications from the surgery that required me to extend my time there, but their team continued to provide unwavering support and attention working with my insurance to assure I was getting the care I needed. After 24 days, I was able to walk out of the facility--something that would not have been possible without their dedication and expertise. The staff was compassionate, attentive, and truly listened to my needs during a very difficult time. I highly recommend this facility and am incredibly grateful for the care I received.
Best place for your loved ones
I was treated with respect, and the patient I went to visit seem happy and everyone of the staff members knew her by name, they stop by the table we where sitting at and spoke to her and acknowledged me to by saying hello. J
I absolutely loved my experience and gave it a 5 stars! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with getting the task done to accommodate the patient I am a companion for. I noticed everyone was fully engaged in their task, with no one on their phones-how refreshing! One of the best parts was the positive vibes all around. The facility had a lovely scent, and while it had a bit of an old-fashione charm, everything worked perfectly. The patient also stated she observed staff assisting other patients during meal time. Just an awesome place!
DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE GO HERE! If this review can save even just one family from falling for the false promises and allowing their loved one to be admitted here, then I’ve done what I intended. AJ is a good talker but he must never have stepped foot inside the facility if he believes the narrative he’s pushing. I doubt there are enough characters for me to explain the horrific experiences we had here. I’ll keep it short: I truly believe my mother, who is now deceased, would have had a better chance at recovering had she not been brought here. The first few weeks of rehab are the most critical and she was severely neglected. Keep in mind, she was non verbal and unable to walk and we were there from beginning of visiting hours until the end, daily. Even with someone constantly advocating on her behalf, we were met with neglect and non action. There was one nurse who was amazing. The rest of the staff, what little they had, were terrible. The level of neglect is criminal and the lack of response by the people they call supervisors is beyond concerning. Like I said, I have A LOT of stories I could tell, right down to an aide wagging her finger in my face and implying with her body language that she would love to get physical with me. PLEASE, no matter what they tell you, DO NOT ALLOW them to “care” for your loved one. If I had to guess, these 5 star reviews are not real patient families. If you notice, the 5 star reviews come in “clusters” example- multiple from 3 weeks ago, then another chunk from 5 months ago. This says to me they’re manufactured. “We need reviews. Have your friends and family write one for us”. There is no way that anyone could have had an even partially positive experience. It’s dangerous and absolutely neglectful. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.
