The level of care is evident across every unit and at every level of the organization. The facility is always clean, bright, and welcoming, and the activities are varied, engaging, and thoughtfully tailored to the residents. I couldn’t be more pleased with Artis Senior Living In Briarcliff Manor. Above all else, the staff is kind, compassionate, gentle and respectful. The level of care is evident across every unit and at every level of the organization. The facility is always clean, bright, and welcoming, and the activities are varied, engaging, and thoughtfully tailored to the residents. While I wish our family didn’t need the services of a memory care community, I have tremendous peace of mind, knowing my mom is in the very best hands. I am deeply grateful to the entire Artis team for the exceptional care they provide every day.
Artis Senior Living in Briarcliff is a wonderful place! The people who work with my mom are attentive and communicate with me when there is a question or concern. Many activities take place, including art, lectures, exercise, games and trips, which keep my mom active and engaged. She has developed friendships with other residents. She is truly content in this caring and warm community.
I really tried to give this facility the benefit of the doubt, but after visiting my grandfather again last weekend, nothing has changed. They are still relying heavily on agency nurses. I even spoke with one nurse who told me she's from Pennsylvania and works through Clipboard an app-based agency. What I don't understand is why the facility can't host an open house, offer hiring incentives, or take some other steps to bring in permanent staff. Families are paying so much money, yet our loved ones are being cared for by different nurses every weekend. There is no consistency, and that is…

I hoped things would improve, but after returning and seeing the same situation, this review will remain up until I see real changes.

Artis Senior Living of Briarcliff is one of the nicest communities I have visited. So beautiful and well maintained. You really feel like you are visiting someone in their home. A warm and loving feeling from the time I walked in until I had to leave.
The director is wonderful. Very helpful. Kind and knowledgeable. We felt lucky to have found her.
The administrative staff is very good-especially [name removed] the exec director. The activities are excellent- they take the high functioning residents on field trips once a month. There are too many agency caregivers- they need to hire more staff and pay them more. The Dr.s who care for my mother are excellent and visit her often. The food is very bland and boring according to my mom.
Artis is just what we needed for my 96 year old mother. It's clean, the people are all Kind and helpful and I fee that they really care. It's a difficult time of life to manage and they do it well so that I do. Don't have to worry. I can have my life and know that my mother is taken care of. Also, they fulfill promises, no bait and switch like other places. It's a great place for those in need of memory care and other elderly issues.
I can not say enough positive things about the environment and staff at Artis Senior Living of BriarCliff Manor. Moving my mother into this community was the best thing I have done for her, and has given me enormouse peace of mind. With a combination of extreme short term memory dysfunction and Type 1 diabetes, she presents significant medical management challenges, and the nursing staff at Artis, and Diane M. in particular, could not be more dedicated, competent and caring. They have managed to keep her healthy, content and happily engaged throughout her stay. I am enormously grateful.
