Allegria Port Jefferson

I am the Executive Director of a local Assisted Living and am licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator. I have 10 years of experience working in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and most recently New York (Long Island). I can say with confidence that Allegria is by far the best option in the area for rehabilitation services and endorse their services so strongly I would trust them to care for my own parents. Their community is clean and the staff are incredibly kind. As I experienced on numerous occasions, the residents have clear goals established for receiving therapy services and updates are regularly communicated to their families. We just had two more of our residents complete successful stays. Their experience went so well I anticipate Allegria becoming the primary option for us when rehab services are required. The Administrator and her team truly know each resident and lead with love and compassion. I highly suggest scheduling a tour and observing how residents are treated throughout their community. I saw someone in a Google review reference their CMS star rating. While I appreciate it’s value, all it takes is a simple ten minute conversation with someone who understands the data behind the metrics and you see there are much more important things to focus on when selecting a rehab option for your family. What matters most is what you will experience when you see it with your own eyes. Incredibly impressive community and I look forward to working with them more frequently.

I wish I could give this facility 10 stars. This facility saved my mom life. The staff isn’t just staff. They actually make you feel like they are your extended family to your love ones. They go above and beyond. The Directors are very much involved in the care process from beginning to end and easily accessible. The nursing staff and the aides are competent and thorough in what they do and personable. The entire rehab staff are consistent and strive for you to actually get better and are attentive to your concerns. I would like to personally thank all the Directors and Supervisors , Paulette, Simone, Samantha, Sinaya, Louise, Amira, Dequana and too many others to name for taking care of my mom and getting her stronger during her stay.. The facility is extremely clean and great activities for residents. I highly recommend this facility for a family member who needs any type of nursing/rehabilitation care. My mom came home recently and is happy to be home but she stated she miss the people there already. Great job Allegria you are a positive roll model for what a nursing/rehabilitation facility should be for people in need. Your facility exemplifies Dignity, professionalism and overall give people hope to keep going. Thank you again.🙏🏼

Caring staff

I visited a friend at Alegria and I will be returning. It seems the staff is upbeat and attentive to the needs of my friend. She did not wait long after using the call button. Her room assignment has a nice view with a bird feeder outside the window. This is what she needs to help keep a positive attitude. My hope is that her pain can be kept controlled so she can get back to more activities.

My mother lived at Allegria Nursing Home for five years as a long-term care resident. The care was excellent, even as her condition declined. The staff and nurses were extremely responsive, medications were always given correctly and on time, and we were promptly notified of any changes. Communication was consistently good, and the compassion and professionalism of the staff gave our family great peace of mind. We highly recommend Allegria Nursing Home for long-term care.
