WCA Home was very clean. The grounds were very pretty. The staff was very welcoming and very warm. They played cards, had live music, movie nights, and arts and crafts. They were really good and very attentive. They got a small dining room, but they got a second dining room, too, (if necessary), depending on the number of residents they have there.
My mom loves it here!! She is receiving better care than living alone. She has people to eat each meal with and is never alone. She can choose to join in the daily activities or sit and read a book in her own room. The staff is friendly, caring and very well educated. The facility is extremely clean, no smell, whatsoever!! They decorate for every holiday, make gifts for residents for each holiday, have planned activities have an art room and 2 beautiful sitting rooms with gorgeous fireplaces. Residents can choose whatever they want to do during the day. A wonderfully trained staff and caring…

This facility is poorly managed and has barely qualified teenagers giving uncaring patient care. The food is tasteless and overcooked, and people are forced into chanting prayers before the meals are served. Residents sit around sleeping in chairs and wondering what day of the week it is. There are no worthwhile amenities, and it is probably the worst environment ever visited. Do not take your relatives there if at all possible.
A great place that is small enough to give special attention to all. Certified Assisted Living Program of New York State.
The facility is poorly run and hires minimum wage employees who give substandard care. The residents are forced to chant prayers before meals with religious beliefs forced upon them. The rooms are small, the food is mush, and the entire home is filled with women sitting around waiting to die. It is a depressing place filled with uncaring employees and certainly not somewhere you want to end up living.
Women's Christian Association Home was old and had very small rooms. It did not look very appealing to me. I had a scheduled appointment, but they had no clue that I was coming. The person who I was supposed to meet did not bother to come down even when they called her and told her that I was there. The girl from the kitchen offered to give me a tour. She gave a nice tour, but because they blew off my appointment, I had no interest. The people I saw were just sitting in their wheelchairs, lined up in the hall. It wasn't very impressive.
Assisted living facility for Christian woman.
This was a nice place. It just did not fit what we were looking for. We did not like that they had steps in the community. It just would have been to much. The people that showed us around were helpful and gave a good tour.
