I was at The Pines for five days after spending five days in the hospital after a fall. The food was above average. The facilities are lovely and the staff was wonderful. Especially kind and helpful was Tricia. She did so much for me, especially delightful showers that made me feel new again. Kudos also go to Courtney for her professionalism while being warm and positive. We need more health care workers like Tricia and Courtney. And Keri in PT was real and delightful. We need to pay them all what they’re worth! My insurance paid the entire bill, so I can’t speak to the cost. My only concerns…

We need to pay them all what they’re worth! My insurance paid the entire bill, so I can’t speak to the cost. My only concerns were: 1. They were short-staffed, so the wait time was frequently excessive. (As long as 40 minutes) 2. My roommate was a very sick woman physically and mentally, which made it necessary for me to get her help like when she fell out of bed and had to be helped back in with four staff members and a Hoyer. Although she was very sweet most of the time, her mental condition caused her to blurt out obscenities at all hours of the day and night. I’m not sure she should have been admitted at all, but if so, she should have had a private room.
My first time there. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and orderliness in the facility. Staff was friendly. And helpful.
My brother was at the Pines for about six months. He passed away there yesterday from lung cancer. The staff there is very caring and helpful. I would especially like to thank Kyah and Jasmine. They both went above and beyond not only in my brother’s care but also ministering to the needs of the family.
The medical care at this facility was abysmal, bordering on criminal. The rehab staff and PT professionals were very good. With regard to medical care, there was zero continuity, communication or oversight. Individual providers were competent, but lack of a system in place to ensure proper turnover, med mgmt., oxygen management, and overall supervision makes this place a dangerous option for anyone considering placing a loved one there who has any sort of medical complexities. They simply aren’t equipped and knowledgeable in that regard. If the only need is rehab, then it is adequate.
A great Rehab across the street from The Hyde Museum which houses a Michelangelo! Super Clean, great LPN’s, wonderful CNA’s and administrative staff. PT & Nutrition provide a perfect place post operative’s.
All the staff are so nice. Being Saturday, John didn’t have PT or OT so things we a bit more quiet.
My father is in here for rehab. The staff is a nightmare, they don’t care. After being in hospital for over week he just wanted a shower. He was told on Thursday admission day it would be Monday. Well tonight I go and ask when his shower day is the cna says let me look well it was this morning and she signed he had it. Well guess what he did not because his hair is so greasy, he smells and he is with it enough to know he did not have one. On top of that the aid told my step mother she didn’t give him a shower but a good bed bath. Not the same thing. Then falsify documentation that you did give it to him. He was in pain we rang call bell almost 2 hours before someone comes. You walk hallway looking for someone and no one is found. They have him in a diaper because they are too lazy to toilet him. I am calling NY state tomorrow this is unacceptable treatment and someone needs to report them.
Nice facility… friendly, clean & professional
