I love The Nottingham. My parents started out in independent living, and my father passed away, so I eventually got Mom into their assisted living. It's my number one. It's beautiful. The grounds are great for walking. It's sort of like a country setting. It's set away from the main road, and when you're on the campus it's really nice, safe, and secure. They have fobs on their keychains to get in. My mom needed a level of care that included the nursing staff doing all her medications, like ordering and delivery of the medication, whatever time of day it was. They would come in and give Mom…

They would come in and give Mom her meds, and so that's very secure. The Nottingham offers a continuum from independent living to assisted living. They have memory care, too, but if any of their residents fall ill and need rehab (if they have a room in their rehab), that's another service that they provide there. I love that place. That's my favorite. The food is delicious. In the assisted living it's the same level of deliciousness and choices. The people who serve the folks there got to know them by their first names. They know that Mom likes her iced tea with two lemons, so there's a very good personal touch to it. They have a recreation therapist, and they have an activities program that runs through the week and the weekends. There are times when they will take them over to activities that are in independent care even though they're in assisted living. They will go over there for some special events or some music at night or whatever it is. I like the flow of that because with my mom moving from independent care to assisted living I don't want her to miss anything. I was there for Mother's Day where we planted seeds. They painted their clay pots and then they planted the seeds. They tried to make it as friendly and welcoming as they could. The facility is very pretty, very clean, and welcoming.

Caring staff and great facility that provides continuum care for older adults

I work for Touching Hearts at Home and our experience has been amazing. We work with staff at the independent living building and memory care building (the Borer), and everyone we come in contact with from the main desk, social workers, nurses, the executive director and everyone in the buildings are so friendly and welcoming. They truly care about their residents and their well-being. We recommend the Nottingham.

Plotting. Scheming even. Do not recommend.

Amazing. Kind. Thoughtful. Staff adapts style to every resident. Beautiful apartments. Would be nice to have more undercover parking.

We at Touching Hearts at Home enjoy working with all the staff at The Nottingham. We have past and current clients in the independent living building and our care partners feel welcome when visiting their clients. The facility is clean, they have allot of activities and continue to partner with TH. Niki Heaton and her staff are wonderful as well as Mary Wassel in the memory care facility. We appreciate everything they do.

Another case of looks are deceiving. You will only be shown the heathy, happy independence residents because of you saw what is truly happening in assisted living or memory care you would report them to the state for neglect and cruelty. They have a beautiful facility and restaurant but does that matter if they leave residents lonely and isolated and out of sight crying and waiting hours for help. They never “have time” to give attention to residents only those who haven’t signed contracts and checks yet. They also play this game where they bring you in under a promotion to independent living and then decide you aren’t “meeting our standards” and demote you to assisted living or memory care even against the opinion of doctors! Why? Costs more! And they save the pretty spaces for the family tours. Marketing teams also are known to play bidding games between families while keeping those in need in limbo for months- but they will tell you it is only a couple weeks to get in. If they find someone who will “make a donation” you will be kicked to the curb for someone else. Corrupt. Heartless. Dishonest place full of neglect and abusive secrets. Don’t fall for the food on display or the pretty campus.

A car show was held , and the people were able to look around at the cars, there was music, and a lot of stories were shared. Hopefully next time even more cars . The weather held up, saw a lot of smiles.
