We chose this facility due to location. availability and cost. We had difficulty connecting with the nursing staff to check on our loved one. Sometimes it took a few days for them to return my call, especially if it was over a weekend. Overall the care was very good.
I have been extremely happy with our experience at Tennyson Court.

Not a good experience. She never should have been accepted. Her needs were way above their ability. They were nice enough but totally not qualified to take care of her. She fell, a lot. Ended up in the hospital and then a horrible nursing home. She died a week later never having gained consciousness. Terrible experience. I recently visited my mother in law in a memory care facility in Connecticut. It was awesome. They cared for her there through every stage of her Alzheimer's. She died there in a clean caring environment. NY could learn a lot from Connecticut!!!
Overall, good experience. Staff are nice, friendly, and helpful. Place is very clean. Seems to be understaffed. They have PT / OT services and a doctor and nurse that come on site per a schedule. They do not have a separate PT room. The place is decorated very nice. It looks like a home. I think this is very important. During the admission process they did say some things that later did not happen. I would recommend this place.
Everyone very professional and helpful. The nursing staff have taken great care of my mother. The staff very helpful and great in communication of my mothers care need.they I contact a physical therapist to help my mom to increase her mobility. My mom has progressed to the point she now needs level 2 assisted care not level 3 and the monthly rent now decreased
I would recommend Tennyson Court the staff is always friendly, caring and attentive. There are lots of activities. I like the "house" concept as Mom dines with the same small group each day (14) residents which made the transition much easier for Mom. The meals are good and although Mom is not a good eater and fussy the staff goes out of their way to make sure she eats. She has settled into what she likes on the menu and we go with that. I am there many days a week and always welcomed.
The staff at Tennyson Court was the best and they were so caring towards our loved one. Tennyson court was a very good experience. They had concern for my issues as well as taking care of my husband.
