Smithtown Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care

Smithtown Rehab cares for not only the patients, but their caregivers as well. My grandmother was there recently and it seemed like she had so much fun, especially socializing with others and making friends. I will say, the NA Julia was amazing and beyond helpful! She communicated with my grandmother clearly, was always there to help with daily tasks, and was so kind and patient with her. Also, Julia helped steer me in the right direction if I was ever confused about anything and would sit down and talk with my grandma and I which made us feel really welcome! Thank you Julia for all your help, guidance, and pure kindness! God bless you!

My 8 weeks at Smithtown brought me from post surgery to prepared to go home independently. The PT; especially Dan; was most helpful, beneficial & supportive. What a gem! The food was tasty & a varied menu. The nursing care, especially Gina & Margaret, was superior & ongoing. The Aides were also most helpful-Stephen, Ronnie & Julia. I've never been in a Rehab & if needed, would choose to return to Smithtown. Recreation activities were very available, maintenance was on top of things, and the atmosphere is generally very supportive. I'm grateful for the effective time I spent at SmithtownCenter & the Andministrative support I received.

I would like to recognize Nurse Kelly-unit C, Amy the wound care nurse, and Laura from Finance. These ladies went above and beyond their duties and listen to the patient & family and truly care. Its a breath of fresh air. Thank you all!

My mother just got transitioned to Smithtown rehab for physical and occupational therapy after a hospital stay for a lung infection and has had a great experience with the staff so far. During her intake, Laura in the business office let us know what to expect with the level of Medicare coverage plans my mother has. She also let us know there may be better options for her coverage in case her stay is extended beyond the standard coverage limit. That encouraged us to reach out to Medicare and get her coverage plan updated. We would have never known what to expect regarding her insurance coverage if Laura didn’t call it out and we are so grateful for that!

My Uncle has been at this facility for awhile. He is in Unit D. Everyone that I encountered has been excellent. Well when you 1st come in the person that sits there is okay but I think you should hire someone that's very outgoing and a little bubbly. Laura has been such a huge help to my Aunt and she is very friendly. I really have to brag about Esther. She is so very kind, sweet and so helpful. The Ladies at the desk I believe Amanda and Keri were also very kind and helpful. They would get me a huge cup of ice water. I think his name is Ronnie but my brother says Lonnie. He was very helpful and outgoing. The Social workers were exceptional as well. I believe Daniele and her boss or co-worker. V that works with my Uncle in PT is also so very sweet. The Transport guy I cant remember his name also friendly. The doctor that we spoke to was amazing. Don't remember his name. Thanks for hiring great people. I came again and Blondine was very helpful and kind when taking care of my Uncle. April is amazing too.The Physical therapy department is absolutely wonderful. The nurses especially Christine and Danielle have been wonderful.
