Worst 3 days of my life. Went into the ER with abdominal pain, bloating and cramps. Nurses ask the usual questions about drugs, smoking, vaping or alcohol. Worst 3 days of my life. Went into the ER with abdominal pain, bloating and cramps. Nurses ask the usual questions about drugs, smoking, vaping or alcohol. As soon as I confess to drinking the get tunnel vision and judge me an alcoholic suffering from withdrawal. Ct scans showed inflammation but they ignored that, my bloating and abdominal pain clearly weren't the problem. I go 3 days without sleep because they test my vitals every 2 hours and ask the same line of questions "do you feel nauseous, anxious, shaky, are you hallucinating, do you have a headache?". I was feeling none of those symptoms and every time I brought up the inflammation they ignored me. By the 3rd day I actually had a headache from getting no sleep, I begged for some gas-x and a laxative and when I finally got them I felt better within hours. They wouldn't even let me have water the first day, only ice to chew on. I felt dehydrated, disrespected and disregarded as they continued to insist I was suffering from withdrawal despite my *VISIBLY SWOLLEN BELLY* TL;DR. don't expect anyone here to listen to the patient

The floors are cracked I've been told corporate won't fix AC that's why the surgical floor 2 east has to keep fans in the rooms the fans don't even rotate. Walks in patients rooms are dirty there's dust every. The janitor swept around us nor asking us to move never mopped or attempted to dust.

I have been there several time, my Family and I are always treated with respect and taken care of. All the negative reviews make me sad because the doctors and nurses do a great job. If you don’t like Newark you better never go to string or RRH in Irondiqoit. That is awful. At least Newark you get a room and not out in the hall. Newark would be my first choice ED.

The ER : IAlmost died once in ER IN 2017 when the abandoned me while bleeding to death in a room, luckily a family member showed up and got them to serve me.

Great doctors and usually don't take too long

I was in the emergency department Monday morning 4/27. Jen was a very uncaring and unprofessional nurse. She acted as if I was a inconvenience. I over heard her outside the room making jokes about me to a younger nurse. Saying i cant be in that much pain because i wasnt crying when i walked in. The care in this emergency department has gone down hill. Go somewhere else if you want someone to actually care, they don't

Their ER is well staffed, Clean and professional

I just had major surgery there, over the Easter Holiday, no less..Everyone here was AMAZING. The nurses on 2E this weekend. ALL OF THEM , THE MED TECHS., DIETARY, all disciplines!! The facility itself was pristine, house keeping checked on me frequently to make sure I had what I needed .Wonderful Bedside manners. Their number one concern was my comfort and well being. There are all educated and smart answered all my worries and concerns in a comprehensive, caring fashion, . The nurses technical care was second to none. Please give them raises. I will miss these wonderful people. Thank you so much ALL WHO CARED FOR ME THIS PAST WEEKEND. THANK NEWARK/WAINE HOSPITAL.
