My Sister has been in the Pines Nursing Home for rehab after a hip fracture and repair... He rehab was excellent... However, there was never a comfortable chair for her to sit in. They told me the room was "too small for a chair"... So she was in bed most of the time o/t when she was walking in the halls! I called and talked with the Supervisor about the fact that she didn't have a comfortable chair in her room. She said she would put on the the hall for her to sit in!!! It was not a comfortable chair even for her room! And the next time I visited, there was no chair in her room!!! Further more she contacted Covid and she became nauseous and couldn't eat or drink much... I went to see her and her lunch was on the tray, untouched...No one ever came to help her with her food... She was dehydrated and weak and unable to stand alone for feed herself... they finally sent her to the Hospital because of her weakened condition! I was on the list to be told of her condition ! When I asked is she was still taking rx for Covid, the Nurse told me "you are not on the list; you were but not now" she couldn't tell me anything. I believer they had no right to take me off the list, only the family can do that. They neglected her care and I want the state of NY to know this..... I am a retired RN and would not recommend anyone I know to put their family in the Pines!
5 Star all the way! Staff is wonderful. I'm impressed with almost everyone I have contact with. They care about their patients, are conscientious & kind. They have made a very difficult decision easier.
“Joy” who answers the phones is anything but. Very rude, disrespectful, and zero empathy. As the face of the organization, it gives little hope for the facility itself.
They take heart care of my father-in-law.
This care facility is well-run but they are suffering from a staff shortage like many other nursing homes. They keep their residents busy with lots of activities and the staff genuinely cares for their residents.
This place is so racist as a nursing traveler I would never recommend a blk person to work here these ppl that run the place and staff are not friendly to black ppl for such a out of shape nursing home it's a mess sorry for those residents
This place has very hard working staff including some of my family members
Very nice and well designed.
