I really enjoy visiting my dad, Melvin Douglas. He is being very well taken care of. I appreciate everyone who is helping him. Be blessed
Our family has had a wonderful experience with Nyack Ridge. When my father, Frank, first arrived, we honestly weren't sure what the future would hold. Today, seeing how far he's come has been nothing short of incredible, and we're so grateful to everyone who has been part of his recovery. A heartfelt thank you to Gemma for always going above and beyond, Bella and the entire Physical Therapy team for their dedication and encouragement, and to the nurses, CNAs, physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, activities staff, dietary team, housekeeping, maintenance, and every member of the…
Our family has had a wonderful experience with Nyack Ridge. When my father, Frank, first arrived, we honestly weren't sure what the future would hold. Today, seeing how far he's come has been nothing short of incredible, and we're so grateful to everyone who has been part of his recovery. A heartfelt thank you to Gemma for always going above and beyond, Bella and the entire Physical Therapy team for their dedication and encouragement, and to the nurses, CNAs, physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, activities staff, dietary team, housekeeping, maintenance, and every member of the care team who cared for my dad each day with kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect. Every interaction made a difference, and we never took that for granted. We'd also like to thank Steven and Verisha for their support, guidance, and communication throughout the entire process. It's clear that the team at Nyack Ridge truly cares about its residents and their families. We know healthcare isn't an easy profession, and we recognize the hard work, long hours, and dedication it takes to care for others. Thank you for making a difficult time a little easier, for helping my dad regain his strength, confidence, and independence, and for treating our family with such compassion. We will always be grateful.
This facility forces visitors to use the elevator. There are codes to take the stairs but they refuse to give them out. This is a huge fire hazard. In an emergency, if we have to rely on the staff, everyone is in trouble. Most of them do not speak clear English and are never around. Residents and visitors are in a severe safety hazard with this policy. I wonder what the fire inspector has to say about this.
Our family experience at The Nyack Ridge was one of kindness, professionalism and great care for my 94 yr old father who had a bad fall. After 3 weeks in the hospital, he was transferred to The Ridge to rehab his broken back and leg. The nurses, aids, case workers, food service workers and custodial folks were all so kind and caring to dad, who was in great pain. It was soon apparent that he was not able to recuperate and the Ridge staff helped bridge us to hospice. Dad’s last few days were peaceful with our family around him and the Ridge staffers and Hospice folks could not have been more loving and supportive to us. My family gives The Ridge highest praise for support, cleanliness, communication, and care. Thank you especially to Verisha, Hollis and Rosie. 💐
The staff are caring, professional, and truly dedicated to the residents. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. You can tell the residents are treated with respect and compassion every day. Highly recommend this nursing home!

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the level of care my loved one received at this nursing home. Despite being able to advocate for themselves, they still experienced neglect—particularly with basic hygiene. Diaper changes were delayed so long that they developed painful rashes, and call bells frequently went unanswered for hours, leaving them and other residents soiled and uncomfortable. The facility is clearly understaffed, and the few staff members available often appeared overwhelmed, inattentive, and at times, indifferent. Many were not friendly or compassionate, and their interactions with residents lacked basic kindness and empathy. If this is how someone who can speak up for themselves is treated, I can only imagine how much worse it must be for residents with cognitive impairments or dementia who cannot communicate their needs. Even more alarming, there were multiple incidents involving medication errors. My loved one’s prescriptions were not administered correctly by nursing staff—either given at the wrong times or missed altogether. This kind of mistake can have serious health consequences and reflects a dangerous lack of oversight and attention to detail. Families place their trust in these facilities to care for their most vulnerable members. That trust was completely broken in our experience. I hope that management takes immediate and meaningful action to address these serious issues—for the safety and dignity of every resident.
The one thing that is amazing about this place is the physical therapists. I’ve been here for 2wks now following my right hip replacement surgery & they have me walking around & looking forward to the next time I go down to therapy. They make it fun as well, having music play, etc. I’ve had many different therapists and not one has let me down yet. 👍 It’s been a hard road due having avascular necrosis I have still in my other hip, but they’ve made it a little easier. ❤️ Also my grandmother went here as well and she didn’t want to leave although she had to lol.. She loved the social hour and the scheduled things they did. Just wanted to make sure people knew about their therapists cause they’re great. 😊 (if any happen to read this 😆 , thank u)
