Since then they have been sold to another management company, even though the closing hasn't happened yet, the new Jewish home has completely walked away from the facility, they let go of most administration personnel and it has gone down hill from there. Security is not good, the food is still horrible (luckily my Mom was able to buy some appliances to cook as there's no stove. Overall she's happy with the activities and the director of activities (although right now we don't know if she will be staying) My Mom has met friends which helps from a social…

Kittay was better when my Mom moved in. Since then they have been sold to another management company, even though the closing hasn't happened yet, the new Jewish home has completely walked away from the facility, they let go of most administration personnel and it has gone down hill from there. Security is not good, the food is still horrible (luckily my Mom was able to buy some appliances to cook as there's no stove. Overall she's happy with the activities and the director of activities (although right now we don't know if she will be staying) My Mom has met friends which helps from a social perspective but overall she's not thrilled and we would like to find another place.
Our experience was very enlightening, the director answered all our questions and even more. My so far is enjoying her stay and making friends. The staff are all great, the location is accessible, and the shopping area is in walking distance. We are thankful for A Place For Mom for their patients as we toured the facility and was pleased at what we have observed. Thank you for the experience and would recommend anyone who is interested in checking out the facilities to draw your own opinion.
Kittay House is very nice, but it is independent living. there aren't any group or planned outings something that would make life a little more interesting. I have a good friend that lives there and the staff is helpful with her. I think the food is fine. Her living situation is fine but she's terribly lonely. They do have group activities such as outside entertainment that comes once in a while it's just that it would be nice to get out of the building for an excursion once in a while - a museum etc. I think The Kittay House is a very good option for seniors because all the meals are…

Kittay House is very nice, but it is independent living. there aren't any group or planned outings something that would make life a little more interesting. I have a good friend that lives there and the staff is helpful with her. I think the food is fine. Her living situation is fine but she's terribly lonely. They do have group activities such as outside entertainment that comes once in a while it's just that it would be nice to get out of the building for an excursion once in a while - a museum etc. I think The Kittay House is a very good option for seniors because all the meals are included in the rent - therefore residents don't need to go out and buy groceries or cook in their apartment. The staff is very friendly even the security people are extremely nice. I've met some of the residents and they all are cordial too. it's very clean very friendly place. The location is nice and the views from the apartments on the upper floors are outstanding!

The staff has been extremely helpful and patient - from the very start when we were just inquiring about [name removed], to the multiple visits, to move in, to my father settling in.
The amenities in the garden level. The solarium, library and exercise room are a plus.
Our loved one doesn't always like the food. There are different options for each meal. My loved one is very picky. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had
I went to look at Kittay Senior Apartments. The whole layout was very nice. They have activities, meals, and what I needed for my disability. The room was kind of small because I have a queen bed, but it was doable. The dining area was very huge and really spacious. The staff was very informative and nice.
I toured Kittay Senior Apartments. It's very welcoming. The place was very clean. Everyone is very friendly and professional and offers other information if need be, and that's very expensive. It's a studio I saw, and it's appropriate for someone who can partially take care of themselves. They would just need breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared, but outside of that, it's very nice, very clean, and homely. They have a games room, exercise room, movie room, and laundry services. They can do their own laundry. There's also an outdoor garden, which is very nice.
