Resident & family reviews
4.9 · 14 reviewsStaff are wonderful. The house is beautiful and comforting, and the client rooms are amazing. Everything has been thought of for a family's comfort during one of the hardest times.
You will never find a more caring and dedicated group of people than at the House of John! I wish I could give 100 stars. My father was here for the last 5 weeks of life with terminal brain cancer and they treated him like a king. Not only did they cater to his every need, but they made sure our family also felt cared for. Hospice houses don't get a lot of notoriety but when you are faced with a life-altering diagnosis and want to make the most of what time is left, it is a wonderful option and the staff at House of John will always hold a special place in my heart. 💗
An amazing place with the best staff, that is volunteers, around. We are very lucky to have such a great Hospice in our community.

Everyone there is caring and sincere. They give great care and do all they can.
My mother-in-law was here for end of life hospice care as she passed away from complications of cancer. There are only 2 private rooms for patients. The location is behind a church and the building itself looks very much like a regular house. The program is run much like a house. You can come and go as you please to visit, as long as the patient tolerates, you're welcome to the food and facilities they provide as well as bedrooms for family to stay at the location. They're very good at explaining the process and preparing you for what will or could be happening next and options for proceeding. They allow you to have an individual experience and are very understanding of each families unique needs. We did not want to leave my mother in laws side and were allowed to stay with her 24/7, sleeping in recliners and on the floor with her just to be close to her and, aside from being offered a bed upstairs, we were allowed to be with her. For the time we were there this place was very much like a home with the staff of almost entirely volunteers just there to support you and your loved ones along the way.
