I'd give 5 for all. They were great and my dad had a very nice experience. The apartment was very functional for my dad. He loved the keurig coffee maker and the walk in shower. The staff was very friendly and left him alone when he was in his apartment. The residents were also incredible polite and engaging with my dad. Good food with the choice of portion sizes and it was a lovely atmosphere in the dining area and the entire facility. If I decide I need to take my father somewhere for care.. this would be my top choice.
My parents were former residents of Ashton Place Senior Living. They had an apartment with their own car, although the place provided transportation if they needed it. They have all different levels of care, but my parents were independent. It was very nice, well-kept, and well-maintained. The staff was very good, friendly, and accommodating. Before Covid hit, my dad said the food was excellent. He was very impressed and loved every meal. He spoke highly of it. When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For…

When Covid hit, I think they lost a lot of staff, and the meals became more mundane like having spaghetti sauce out of a jar. For activities, they have organized bingo and Mardi Gras parties. They even had local musicians come in. They also had Sunday services right there, and they didn't even have to go to church. It was not cheap, but they did go above and beyond.
Our family, like many others, was recently confronted with the task of finding a facility that could provide the additional care we felt was needed for our parents aged 92/93. As others have likely experienced, this is not always a "willing" transition for the those needing assisted care, however due to several factors, they could no longer live on their own safely. Our search led us to Ashton Place in Clifton Springs. We can (and strongly do) reiterate a combination of every one of the very positive comments about the staff, care and environment at the facility and could not agree more.…

As others have likely experienced, this is not always a "willing" transition for the those needing assisted care, however due to several factors, they could no longer live on their own safely. Our search led us to Ashton Place in Clifton Springs. We can (and strongly do) reiterate a combination of every one of the very positive comments about the staff, care and environment at the facility and could not agree more. However, for our family, we had an additional experience that may not often be written about which was dealing with the task of moving again!! After a time, it became apparent to us and the staff that the level of care our parents required, was more than Enriched Housing could, or is designed/intended to provide. As much as we wanted to have them stay in this wonderful community-we could not. You truly find out about the people you work with when things get difficult, and this is when we realized the care, compassion, and concern the ENTIRE staff and management at Ashton demonstrated was not because they had to, but because they really cared and wanted to help. Their participation in the search, recommendations, guidance and yes, even friendship during this process was a god-send for us and relieved SO MUCH pressure! There are not enough positive things to say about Ashton Place that can reflect what they do for residents and families-and we are forever grateful for what Kevin, Jackie, Susan, Keith, and just everyone did for our parents and family!! Thanks so much! The Rizzieri Family!
Ashton Place Senior Living is an excellent facility. It's about 25 years old. It's in very, very good condition and the people there are wonderful, very caring, and concerned about the residents. My mother-in-law has a kitchenette, a living room, a big bathroom, and a big bedroom. All the meals can be provided. Rides can be provided. There are three different levels of care there and the highest level of care will administer medications. They will check the residents every two hours. It's a very good facility and the people are all excellent. We had food there and their menus are outstanding. They're usually at a choice of entrees for dinner and during the holidays, they put on a spread for them. They had prime rib and shrimp cocktails and all sorts of sweet things. They have many activities. My mother-in-law enjoyed playing bingo. They usually have musical concerts at least 2 or 3 times a week. They offer religious services.
My parents enjoyed more than 10 years as residents at Ashton, living happily, well-cared for when needed, and in great relationship with the excellent staff who clearly serve from their hearts. The whole facility is clean and well taken care of, the leadership (Kevin: a real professional with a heart!) knows how to lead, how to communicate, and how to keep the residents safe (I saw this during Covid especially). The apartments are spacious and lovely: quiet with plenty of light and space. The common areas are comfortable and inviting; food is delicious and varied; activities are enjoyable and well-organized (Amy, an amazing organizer!) I'm a registered nurse and I could not have envisioned such an extraordinary place and extended family where my parents could enjoy growing older. Miraculously they found Ashton.
My mother and father lived at Ashton for more than a decade, while they were still very independent and until they each passed away 5 years apart. I'm a registered nurse and I feel Ashton is by far one of the very best communities to retire to. Clean, comfortable, warm and caring staff, skilled caregivers, superb leadership (they stayed safe through covid) and an extended family like my parents deserved. I highly recommend Ashton for anyone ready to stop doing everything on your own! Grow older happily, safely, and comfortably.
My parents moved to Ashton many years ago and lived a vibrant life thanks to the community at Ashton. They grew older with grace; the staff became like family; they enjoyed their independence as long as they could and were incredibly well supported when that became more difficult. The humor, kindness, good food, and real concern for everyone fairly made Ashton an excellent home for two people who no longer wanted to shovel their own driveway, or cook as much, and who did not want to be isolated in their private home. They moved in cheerfully and stayed safe through Covid (thanks to excellent leadership at Ashton) and when it was time to depart they each had been surrounded by love. Ashton is an example I hope other retirement and care facilities would learn from.
Ashton Place is great for our mom. She has made several new friends and participates in activities almost daily. She is safe, warm and we'll get and cared for. I recommend it for any senior that's needing a community and help with meals. It's wonderful.
