After spending a lot of time here while my father(414B) was recovering, I wanted to leave a review based on my own experience. Every family’s experience will be different, but ours was a mostly a positive one. Although my father hasn’t fully recovered and still isn’t able to walk independently, our family ultimately decided it would be best to bring him home so he could be surrounded by family and receive constant care. Throughout his stay, he genuinely enjoyed being here and built relationships with both the staff, other residents and he always spoke highly of the people around him. A special thank you to David and Walter at the front desk. You guys were always welcoming, patient, and helpful whenever we had questions, and we truly appreciated your kindness. I’d also like to recognize Jaylen, the social worker. From addressing concerns and working with insurance to scheduling and for making the discharge process as smooth as possible, you were incredibly kind and supportive every step of the way. You always had such a positive attitude and warm personality that made everything feel a little easier. One memory that stuck with me was when I walked by while some of the nurses were eating. I mentioned how good their food smelled, and instead of just telling me what it was, they offered me some. It was my first time trying Haitian food, and it was delicious. It was a small gesture, but one that reflected the kindness I experienced throughout our time here. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to Cathly, Mamoon, Solange, and others (I apologize if I misspelled any of your names). You were the nurses who cared for my father the most during his stay. Whether it was helping him change, bathing him, changing his sheets, assisting with whatever he needed, or simply taking the time to sit and talk with him, your compassion and patience never went unnoticed. Thank you for treating him with dignity and kindness. Our family truly appreciates everything you did. The activities were enjoyable, the food was better than we expected, and nearly every resident and staff member I spoke with was warm and respectful. We also appreciated how accommodating everyone was with visitation whenever we needed a little extra time. No place is perfect. There were occasions where response times from certain staff members could have been quicker, communication wasn’t always as consistent as it could have been, and there were a few situations that I believe could have been handled better. I hope those areas continue to improve, because the staff members who went above and beyond truly made a positive difference for our family. I don’t leave reviews very often, but I felt this place deserved one. Thank you to everyone who cared for my father and treated our family with kindness and respect. We truly appreciate everything you did.
