The worst nursing home ever. They don’t wash or feed them. My grandmother is always in horrible condition when we visit her

My father was sent here for rehabilitation/strength training. He went in talking & looking forward to recovering and getting home. I had to repeatedly call the ONE phone they had for all patients to find him being unable to speak or even lift his head. I insisted a nurse call me back immediately re: my fathers deteriorated condition, to ME making the call to send him back to the hospital. Was told on the phone, this isn't the man I saw 3 days ago. Those words still ring in my ear. Had no one checked on him in 3 days? I don't even know if he ever saw an actually doctor there the entire time.…

Unfortunately, he was sent to Strong at this point but too ill to recover. I will never forgive this place for my fathers passing.

My uncle lived at Hill Haven for 9 years and I hadn't seen him since 3/5/2020 until he was on hospice 2/26/21. When I saw him he was in a different room and all of his personal items were missing. When he passed 2 weeks later they were unable to find anything but a few cards. I find it reprehensible that they would treat a person in a vegetative state in such a callous manner. Someone who couldnt ask 'where's the ___ my niece got me?" Then they had the gall to offer to reimburse me for the items that was "misplaced" if I had a receipt! Refuse to change bed pans Refuse to feed Will not give my loved one water Will not shave my loved one Tells my loved one to shut up and go to sleep Keeps cell phone away from my loved one so my loved one can not reach out for help This is the most horrific experience that the sick and elderly can experience in there last days ots in human unacceptable. I have reached out to the facility hill haven,I have reached out to Monroe county health department I am getting no help if you have knowledge on what my next step should be please reach out I do not want to loose my loved on because I choose hill haven!!

The worst place to send your loved ones.the nurse's dont care at all.it's just a paycheck to them.dont try calling i was connected over a 8 hour range from one station to another only to have a phone receptionist say who this.so unproffesional.my boyfriend clothes been stolen and he is sedated everyday so they dont have to hear him complain about the abuse and neglect daily.i had to call at 2am.to get someone to check on him and give him medications only to be told he hadnt had any all day.Really.i had to call ambulance to have him sent to hospital because i could hear in his voice sonething was wrong..this place is sad

Absolutely horrible experience for my family. My father passed away during this COVID pandemic and I was notified by phone they didn't think he was "imminent." The supervisor's story when she called me to tell me he passed was that he had been fine a short time before he was found dead, but then changed her story and told me he was "cold and gray and I knew he was dead a while" so they didn't call an ambulance. She proceeded to prattle on about how she lives next to a funeral home and we wouldn't be allowed a funeral and her opinion on the whole situation. I really didn't need her opinions. The final application of salt in the wound was his favorite nurse told my father's long time companion that he had "confided" in her shortly before he died and that my father was angry with her. Whether this information was true or not- it served no purpose to give his loved one this burden to carry for the rest of her days. (Thanks Katie - what a super nurse you are). As a healthcare provider I am appalled by this facility. If you love your family member avoid this facility at all costs.

I had no choice to where i had to go mt insurance covered my stay so i knew it wouldnt be the perfect place some care attendents need to go back for training to learn to wash people correctly and good i was allergic to an antibiotic why did they put me on an antibiotic in the same family i kept tellimg them i was allergic it had to really show evidence i havfe a rash and peeling of skin and an continuous itch i wouldnt recommend my dog to go there for a flee collar they can and should be better

Horrible service. Incompetent staffing.
