4.3 · 14 reviewsMost of the people are very friendly! There are only 2 maintenance people to care for 3 large buildings so sometimes it takes a bit before some things can be done. They try very hard but they really need to employ more maintenance staff. The office are always welcoming and ready to listen to your concerns. They need to have some different activities ! No I think the cost of here is not worth it! Plus the appliances need updating or better quality.
Apartments are very bright and spacious with generous closet space. My utilities bills are very modest; my building is well insulated so heating bills are not high, even in cold weather. Apartments are quiet; I rarely hear sounds from nearby units. Administration responds to maintenance needs in a timely manner and quickly addresses priorities. Rent is reasonable in comparison to other senior complexes. Location is convenient. Neighbors are extremely friendly and conscientious. Layout is safe; no stairs. Showers are large walk-ins with safety bars. Convenient washer and dryer in each unit.…

Other amenities are available, but I'm not currently taking advantage of them because I'm still working full-time. (E.g. pool, organized activities and outings, shuttle service).
[name removed] and [name removed] were reliable, honest and were very efficient in returning phone calls and emails. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a 55+ Community. They always took the time to answer any questions had and provides me with all the options available for rentals within the budget needed. The complex is well maintained, meticulous and convenient to stores.

I signed my lease over a week prior to moving in. At that time I also gave them a list of things that would need to be addressed by maintenance and this included hanging pictures, put a folding door back on its track as well as the screen door, the balconynlight doesn'twork, the foor to the balcony doesn't lock. I requested a hand rail by the toilet. I was told that the kitchen appliances would all be exchanged with new ones. I moved in and the apartment had not been cleaned. Yesterday I mentioned this to the office and they immediately called their contract cleaner who came over right away to clean. I have now lived here 2 weeks and not one promise has been kept. The only thing that was done was to clean the place. I am getting annoyed!

If you care about your elderly loved ones do not place them here. The office staff consists of young men who are out of touch with the senior community. Elderly tenants are expected to shovel their cars out after a storm and they don’t even provide a shovel. The snow freezes and it is a very dangerous situation. Someone is going to get hurt again. One of the garbage areas has a mattress and furniture in there from months ago. Dumpster area icy and dangerous. Garbages in front of buildings are often overflowing. If you bring concerns to the office staff you are often ignored. The smoke alarms are outdated from when the building first opened 20 years ago. They do NOT have 24 hour maintenance as they claim. Inside of buildings are deteriorating. The balconys that have been replaced were not done by professionals and it shows. New tenants already want to move because the basic amenities are not even being met. They only want your money…they do not care about you.
It’s a great place to living in for your older relatives to be living here and there’s plenty of things they can be doing in their spare time. There’s swimming pool,barber shop, excerise room they hold Bingo once a month.
We have been incredibly pleased with Hearthstone and my grandma loves living there! All of the staff members are friendly and attentive. The neighbors are kind and she absolutely loves the activities. It's great to have a shuttle for errands and the community is quiet and clean. Definitely the best place we could have found for her!
