It is a clean facility, yet the clients here are not very social, staff are ehhh. The residents are all just sitting in front of the TV most times when I pop in for a visit. When she fell, they did not notify us until the next day.
As an Aging Life Care Specialist and one with many years of experience in our area, I find staff at Glenwell to be extremely easy to work with and are very accommodating to my clients. The staff is wonderful from administration down to the aides. Stacy J. is extremely nice to work with and so helpful to my clients and their loved ones through the entire admissions process. The facility is beautiful and very clean. With both my mom and aunt living here, I can say that we are all very happy! Everyone I’ve talked to at Glenwell has been friendly and knowledgeable. The meals are delicious, the activities are fun and the rooms are clean.
This place is where you want your elderly. They are top notch! Everyone! All the way down from the administration, to nurses, to aides, to maintenance! Excellent team who really cares about your loved ones. Very clean, constant activities, great food. And again THEY CARE! Would recommend this place to everyone! Also they have an option to switch your loved ones primary physician to a mobile medical nurse practitioner who is excellent! Stacy and Dominique are amazing and should be recognized for thier hard work. Wish everyone's loved ones could end up at Glenwell! I finally have a peace of mind knowing my Mother is being taken care of by these wonderful people.
My grandmother is living here. She seems to to like it here.
Glenwell is very clean and spacious. The activities were a perfect fit for my mother. The only thing she didn't like (as many older people don't like) is there's construction going on because they're putting apartments over there. It was confusing to her. Stacey was wonderful and very nice. She showed us both sides of the facility. She showed us the dining room, the entertainment room, walked us to the courtyard, and showed us a private room and a semi-private room (where 2 people would be in the same room). For activities, they have bingo, Wii, and a library. They are just starting back to have little trips in the van to ride around.
My husband is in Glenwell. It is very good. The staff is courteous, helpful, and very accommodating. He has a physical therapist who comes in. They have bingo, card games, coloring, and a snack room. They can do a little better on keeping them occupied. They're repainting and cleaning the dining room and the hallways. They take very good care of their facility. He's in the memory unit. They mostly stick to themselves and everybody's quiet. He has privacy even though he's with someone else. I was very happy to put him in there. They keep the areas clean and they have people who will entertain them. There are rooms where they can watch television, so they don't have to be in their rooms all the time. They have a doctor on-call. It was the best place for him for the money I had.
I drop in unannounced 3-4 times a week. Staff always very friendly and my relative loves the food there. There is a variety of activities for residents to participate in. Rooms are neat and clean with a slip up once in a while but nothing horrible. Attempts to keep odor free are successful about 75 percent of the time but considering what the facility is, I find this to be an impossibility to accomplish 100 percent of the time. The med staff is right on the ball with the med distribution, so no complaints there. Everyone has been helpful and there are some employees who have been exceptional. Not sure of what the future will be for my family member, but if he remains there for the rest of his life, I will be happy because that means his health has stabilized and I am very satisfied with the Glenwell facility.
