I visited my grandmother at this beautiful facility, and I must say, it is exactly what I envisioned when I was searching for a rehab facility. The staff are caring, the nurses are attentive. The culinary team provides a great range of food and my grandmother is on the path to being stronger physically and mentally. We could not have done it without the guidance and care from Friedwald! Thank you!!
My experience at the Friedwald Center Rehabilitation & Nursing was outstanding. The staff demonstrated genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication to providing high-quality care. The nurses, therapists, and support staff worked together to ensure patients received individualized attention while maintaining a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment. Their commitment to rehabilitation, patient dignity, and family communication truly made a positive difference. I highly recommend Friedwald Center to anyone seeking exceptional rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility and the care my father received during his time of need. From the moment he arrived, the staff showed compassion, patience, and genuine kindness. They treated my father with dignity and respect while providing the support and attention he needed. The entire team went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, safe, and cared for. Their professionalism, communication, and dedication gave our family peace of mind during a very difficult time. It was comforting to know that he was surrounded by people who truly cared. Appalling! I can only speak to the nursing home part, my mother was there only briefly. The place physically, was appalling. She was 93 and medically needy and had both a trach and a G-tube. Once Medicare Would stoppaying after 30 days, her cost would've been $1000 a day. The room she stayed in was not yet refurbished, as the rest of the facility had been, and it looked like something out of the 1950s that had not been maintained. It was not fit for human life. The ceiling was peeling, there was caked up dirt in the radiator, the wallpaper was peeling, molding was missing from the ceiling. It was disgusting. I have pictures of it.The first day she got there from the hospital, she sat in her hospital gown, with her diaper, soaking wet for hours. I kept asking the nurse was anyone going to check her in. They kept saying yes somebody would be there soon. Finally, I spoke to the nursing manager, who apologized. The same type of attention followed her for her entire short stay, which was that the aides were non-attentive. I came early in the morning, 8 AM, and she was not changed from her diaper until 10:30 -11 AM , And only because I complained. She had worn that diaper all night. The trach machine When she had beenin the hospital had been very quiet. The trach machine that she was hooked up to there, sounded like an airplane landing. That place should be ashamed of itself, as should anybody associated with it. I had a friend who was in the Rehab part and although she did not like it and said the aides were not attentive, and the family had to hire a private duty person to help her, because she was younger and more able, she fared better. This is really elder abuse, and somebody should do an exposure on this place. My only message to anyone who puts their parent in a facility, such as this, and I understand needing to do so, is you should live around the corner from the place And visit constantly.
They took great care of my loved one. All the caregivers were so friendly and professional.
Wonderful care, and excellent facility
The cleanest Nursing/Rehab home in Rockland County. Caring staff and top notch therapy. If you're looking for somewhere to take your loved ones, look no further.
⚠️ Warning – Serious Concerns About Patient Safety Please be extremely cautious with this facility. Our experience was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. My father was a patient here, and during his stay, there were multiple serious issues with his care. He was left sitting in his own waste for extended periods and developed bedsores, which indicates neglect. Even more concerning, there was an incident late at night where a nurse claimed she was “cleaning” patients, but the situation raised very serious concerns about inappropriate conduct by this nurse molesting both my father and his roommate. While many of the nurses were kind and attentive, even a few instances of misconduct and neglect are too many when it comes to vulnerable patients. Thankfully, my father is now home and safe. We strongly urge others to stay alert, advocate for their loved ones, and not assume proper care is being given.
