Beautiful assisted living facility

This place keeps on getting better and better. My grandmother has been there for a year now. With the new chef, the meals are out of this world. There is a chapel on campus with daily mass, pinochle club and daily bingo with great prizes. The staff all truly are about the residents. I am happy that they are now a part of our family.

Not happy with staff. Went to management and received a song and dance from Gerry. I understand that stuff gets lost but when I show up to see my mother and find the staff sitting on their phones eating resident food while my paying mother sits in her wet depend and was left in her room and she wasn’t fed I get mad. So Gerry how would you feel?

While the facility looks nice and it claims to be “premier”, it is run so poorly. So many of the staff appear untrained in the care of dementia residents, leading to often times negligent care. Especially troubling is the sloppiness in which medications are passed, resulting in frequent errors. Communication with families is almost nonexistent. The food is often not suitable for the elderly. Individuals in their eighties and nineties don’t want tacos. While all facilities have issues, the problems here are widespread and are rarely addressed adequately. Our elderly deserve better!

Oh Ferdonia place is very nice place I loved the residents but staff were being hired and noticed all black people being fired ok I was there good 4 months never had write up I was a med tech did my job and on time I wotked in activities first before I had to go to the higher-up boss shatan about Francis who hired me as the assistant director activities as well and yes I'm putting names out there because the owner is not seeing what is going on at this facility my new my aunt was fired because Francis claim she didn't know where my aunt was throughout the day always had to look for her how would you always have to look for her if we all carried walkie-talkies it is easy to get on a walkie-talkie and say what's your location mine you were not children we do our job efficiently I never had any write-ups always had a good relationship with the residents for the good four or five months that I was there I absolutely loved what I did mine you one evening when my shift was over just like any other shift I popped a narc which is a narcotic from the lock box as I should was going to present it to a resident who was going to take this it was just an anxiety medication it wasn't really nothing really serious the resident had gone out on a doctor's appointment I was not notified at the time that the resident was not there what I did was in the lot medication room I took the pill left it in the cup that I popped it in I then take the top of the cup up I wrote the room number on the cup I then placed it inside the medication cart in a locked drawer I then wrote a quick note for the second shift to administer the anxiety medication as soon as the resident has to come back I did all this in front of the camera that was placed in our medication room I went home that Friday off I was off for the weekend I got to call Sunday afternoon from Deborah who is or was the HR personnel at the time she told me that I was terminated because I had a medication error I then asked her what was the error because I had never been rolled up I've never even been talked to about any of the meds as far as I knew I was doing a good job as far as I knew I was doing a good job she told me that Nicole who was the or supposed to be the Don director of nursing who was fresh out of college who didn't know her job very well told her that I left a narc pill on the cart unattended and nobody knew about it I simply told Deborah that that was a false statement Nicole made and I told her what I did just like I explained in this paragraph she basically said that was it as if she was surprised ? She said okay let me call Nicole and I will get back to you in an hour I told her she can view the camera and she can see everything I did from start to finish because I did it purposely in front of the camera now mind you again I've never been wrote up Deborah calls me back an hour or two later she says determination still stands due to the med error fast forward few months go by I hear that all the managements was let go with a new HR lady I called and tried to see if I could possibly get my job back was told by the new HR lady that I was placed on the DNR list which is I was not to be rehired which didn't even make any sense cuz I didn't do anything that would place me on a do not hire list

We knew about Fredonia Place and its award for best of the best senior assisted living facility but we had never checked out their Williamsville facility that’s closer to our family. After taking a tour, we were blown away from everything from the grounds and their chapel to their common spaces where residents were keeping active. Laura couldn’t have been nicer and the residents we randomly spoke to had great things to say.

Memory Care is very poorly run. Often understaffed , mediocre food, inconsistent housekeeping. Very poor communication with families. Definitely not worth $86,000 a year.

My mother loves it but I have my reservations. Staff is unruly, undisciplined and gossips. My mother loves the gossiping. I feel that this breaks HIPPA. Every time I go there, she tells me all the latest news. Staff is nice to me but when I walk in and they don’t know I am coming or that I have been sitting there, I can see they put on an act. Food is adequate. Holiday meals are really nice and she loves them. Activity staff is always pleasant. I would rate it a 1 or 2 but my mother loves it so she would rate it a solid 5. She loves the food and all the drama. My rating is a medium between my rating and my mothers rating
