They are under staffed and the bells will ring for a hour or two if someone needs something meds, changing, bathroom. Some of the nurses are great but they need more help and not to yell at the patients if they ring the bell.... Now there are no microwaves the residents eat cold food because someone got hot water that was too hot what next
I was visiting my friend's mother. While there for an hour, I saw 3 different staff members come in and check on her for various reasons. From my experience with nursing and rehabilitation homes that A+ service. The only reason why this is a 4 star is winter parking is very difficult and most spots were still full of snow between each car. Just having one facilities staff member at least shovel between the cars at guest parking would have gotten that last star. I'm in my 40s and I wasn't sure of my footing getting out of my suv. Imagine a spouse of someone in your home walking through that.…

I am a nurse and unfortunately my mother sent to this place for rehab. NO communication with her family, no questions answered. Food was unacceptable for any kind of healing. My sisters and I are taking her evening meals every day! I would NEVER recommend this place. Nursing staff was rude to my sister a few days ago-she was told she did not have time to address her questions. What kind of a nurse if that????
Too short handed
It has taken me some time to write this review as I thought my emotions at the time is what made me have such a negative feeling about this facility and care for my father. The day to day care was horrible. I was there EVERY day to ensure he was taken care of. My father was transferred to this facility for rehabilitation from Thompson Hospital last August. Day 1 when I arrived to visit I had learned that he had fallen and hit his head, lip and had swollen wrists after it took me an hour to find a person working in the unit. He was also covered in extrament and his whit tshirt was covered in dried urine up to his armpits. When it came to meal time, an aid brought in a tray of food and set it on his table. My dad needed full care and that included feeding. They expected him to feed himself. I had to feed him as i was informed they were short staffed and didnt have the time. This continued on multiple occasions during his stay. I was in communication with his social worker and floor nurse multiple times a day (in person and also via text). I gave him sponge baths, dressed him in clean clothes, brought his clothes home and washed them (even with labels clothing was stolen if it was a name brand) took him to the bathroom, and made sure he got a meal in him so on when I visited for 3 hours a day to ensure he was at a minimum taken care of when I was there. I even brought him around the facility outside for a stroll if the weather allowed when he was at the Fairport Baptist home. My dad lost over 50 lbs and was dehydrated over the 3 weeks in their care. Ultimately he was sent to Highland hospital with a completely compacted colon, dehydrated and pneumonia due to aspiration of his meals and the negligence of care at this facility. While I was by my fathers bedside in the hospital I received a bill for his care from Fairport Baptist. I reached out to the billing department and asked for an investigation regarding his care as he was not taken care of well during his stay. Daily i had to search for an employee to help me take care of him. They were never on the floor. There were elderly calling out from their rooms for help for over 30 minutes and no one would show up Monthly I call the billing dept regarding this bill i keep receiving and I was told that his care is under investigation. This April i was informed that the social worker no longer works there and that the billing person may not be there much longer as she is not happy in her job. I was told to talk to the manager of the building. I have left messages and NEVER have gotten a return call. I beg of you….please do not send your loved ones here. A year later and I still am so mad and sad about the care from this facility. My dad passed 9/27/24. I feel aweful that this is the care he received in his last days and he was hurt, neglected worse than a dog in a city pound
The nursing home lied and falsified documentation when state was alerted. My mother fell out of bed on a Sunday, night shift, with no call bell, had 2 black eyes, broken wrist, bruised ribs and sepsis because of neglect and no toileting. She was in the same diaper for 11 hours. (This was confirmed by quality staff member that has been let go) This did infact happened on the SUNDAY night shift. Our family was told it happend at 2 pm the following day (Monday). Aaliyah Walker is an abusive nurse that shouldn't be caring for anyone, let alone the elderly. She has been reported to the state as well. Head of the Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor and the Director of Nursing falsified documentation because WHEC Channel 10 was there filming YET ANOTHER NAME CHANGE. She went 7 days without being seen by a doctor, getting a CT scan, OR an x-ray. The staff humiliated and shamed my Father, Myself, and my Family for questioning why she had not been seen by anyone. My mother was neglected, abused and everybody covered it up. I will continue to advocate for those without a voice. They know they are at fault and falsified documentation.
Since the change in ownership, care has declined for residents and there seems to be a staff shortage. Very concerning when visiting family to see it can take up to an hour for an aid to assist a resident with going to the bathroom.
Decent place
