Any review here for this business over 12 months old should be ignored. My mother has been here for 18 months and I have seen this place go from three stars to definitely five stars. The management has changed, the staff has changed, and the culture has changed. The people that work here are conscientious and caring. I highly recommend looking into this place for assisted living or for memory care. You will not be disappointed.
My sister moved in July 24th 2025. She has bloomed since living there, the staff that come to work regularly are so accommodating and kind. The food good, alot of caring people and nice to meet people and activities excellent
Make sure your person moving in has clear needs I was just told this week, that's it's an additional charge for showering. Mom moved in in December. I wasn't aware of this . They are short staffed with aides, now. However...Everyone is extremely patient & polite!
The nursing staff, HR, and Director ignore the fact that patients wait 2 to 3 hours for a call bell to be answered, hot water in memory care unit is always brown and has metal shavings in it, techs sit in hallway and discuss drinking, partying, and daring websites while patients need to be changes, medications and call bells ringing. When brought to the Administration, was told it would be handled, however when outside they were discussing (Dan and Cara) how residents should not have visitors and they hate their jobs.
Most of management staff has been there for many years and work as a team. Small amount of residents and a family feel.Food is excellent. Rooms on the smaller side compared to a lot of facilities but they are modern.Activities held every day including the weekends.
The facility is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are attentive, friendly, and very helpful
Everyone was very friendly at Elderwood Village at Fairport, and the place was very clean, and they were doing some renovations on each of the client's rooms for fire doors, and so I was impressed with that. The hallways were wide for those with walkers and wheelchairs. The only thing I did not like is that when you first walked into the building, the residents were all sitting right there, and that just made me anxious for them, just due to the the gun violence that we've seen. Also, I wondered when the receptionist became busy with people, how they kept track of who was coming and going. The rooms seemed very nice. There was nothing negative that I could recall. The staff was very nice, answered all my questions, and provided us with a lot of information.
Their is a lot of shortages of staff. For what they have, I feel they do a good job. I would recommend them. Note: since they have more steady staff cleanliness is better.
