If I could leave zero stars, I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ELDERLY FAMILY MEMBERS HERE. The aides are lazy, always on their phones. My poor grandmother sat in a urine soaked brief, not one aide would help her. The food here is horrible. A hot dog for lunch that looked green. Small portions. Watered down coffee..Barely any activities. Just not a good place.

I am in an assisted living called Elderwood Assisted Living at Cheektowaga. Right now, we have COVID here and things have gone crazy. They have two floors, and we are separated from the ones who have it. They also halted their activities because of it. I'm in a shared room and there is a bathroom that we also share. We have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You have to make your own bed. You just have to tell them if it's dirty or if you've wet on it. I would have thought this is assisted living but they don't assist you and you have to do everything yourself. Considering that it's supposed to be…

Considering that it's supposed to be assisted living, we don't get much assistance here. Some of the staff have been very helpful, but some don't understand what your situation is. I think they should also get a dietician here for people with special needs. I've heard some people say they can't have this or they can't have that, but they don't seem to help them with that.

Very nice staff, wonderful facility and nice dinning room. My mom is much happier than any of us ever thought she would be.

Physical therapy was phenomenal ...Occupational therapy wonderful...staff does the best they can with what they are given the nurses and administrators inside. Unfortunately as with every facility in nys and hospitals its a mess. The doctors from general physician outstanding as well......I'm grateful for the therapy.

My grandfather was in the long-term care unit until his passing and the staff there was absolutely amazing

Since the new administration came in its awful. Not clean. Smells like urine. Terrible...

I went to see Elderwood Assisted Living. They had a very nice facility. When you first came in, there was a sitting area there with very nice music that elderly people would like. It was beautifully decorated. I liked that they had a variety of activities for the residents. They did not have the apartment set up like the other facility. Instead, they had just a room with a disability-accessible bathroom. It was still very nice, it just wasn't the same apartment setup we saw elsewhere. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in answering all of our questions. I was there with my dad. Nothing stood out that I did not like. It was just a different type of setup.

This is an awful place. Please do not put your loved one here! They will be neglected. The nurses do not care about the residents, nor do the aides. My mom was there and she got a terrible cold. They didn't do anything about it until she developed pneumonia. I honestly think the place should be shut down altogether. The food is awful, the nurse couldn't care less if the resident needs something or asking for help. All they care about is socializing with each other and being on their phones. Sad that when these nurses and aides are in the Healthcare field and they don't even care about the residents. Shame on them.
