This place should be shut down! My brother was sent there yesterday from another Facility Called the Wynn hospital. Since yesterday he has fallen out of bed! No contact to me to let me know he fell! They came I. Picked him up from the floor and literally threw him back in bed where his body smashed against the wall. No Television, no call button! This is a disgrace! The minute you walk in your hit in the face with a Urine smell throughout this whole facility! Let me just tell you he cannot walk, he weighs 70 pounds! This place is filthy!

Spent 49 days there. The staff was good, PT was good. I would not recommend going there for just inpatient PT due to there are to many people with alzheimers and dementia there and the do not separate the people with alzheimers and dementia they try but to many people people there with alzheimers and dementia in a small place to separate from people there for in patient PT. If you smoke there in NO SMOKING. I would recommend Oneida Rerhabiltion Center in Utica on Kimble st and when I was there two years ago they let you out 2 times a day to smoke. The alzheimers were housed on the 3rd floor…

I enjoy how the staff brings in their animals.I like that it has a small and friendly community. My room has views of the deer squirrels who inhabit the area. The recreation staff provides bingo coloring pages as well as loaning library of books.I have found the staff to be friendly and supportive.

I have to give it up to this nursing home and the people at the time of COVID. Their response was the best it could be at the time. And had it not been for the RN (who wrote books) and was working on the night shift inspiring me to be better and wanting more for the patients; I would have been just as depressed. Multiple nights it was few of us and many nights just me and that RN. But we handled it the best we could. I drove from an hour away to work. I was honored to help. I remember getting sick the week of December 13th before the COVID response given by Biden at the time. I was devastated that I had gone through something I was not able to fully understand the separation of my heart: Medical Logic versus Moral Emotion. It tore at me. I went through my house flooding at the time and was depressed. They were strong for me. And I will always appreciate that. There were so many aides and nurses that busted their ass to make sure things got done. I will forever honor the respect and diligence I encountered at the time

My mother in law was there and the next dat everything was stolen from her and she was hog tied in a wheel chair when we got there.

This is one worst places I've ever had to stay at. The place is filthy dirty bathrooms with feces on floor on toilet seat,my room was clean once in five days. The staff was very rude not all of them but most were. The staff were loud were not helpful at all . I' had a nurse who on three occasions took my socks off too check my toes absolutely no reason for that. One night I needed help getting adjusted in my bed that I couldn't do on my own, I waited 45 mins nobody came to help so I called my grandson to come and help me. My Grandson called my wife and told her she immediately called the nurses station and complain with in 30 seconds I had three people in my room to help. The nurse I had came in the room with medication she had a pain patch for my back I told her that the patches don't help me so I don't need it. She left my room and came back about ten mins later and said to me the Director Nursing said I had to have one put on. I found out that this was not true I had the right to refuse it. When I left my friend was helping me out of the building one of the staff stop to open the door, my friend said to him how can you work here this place is disgusting the employee look at us and said I totally agree with you and so does a number employees I work with say the same thing, but we can't afford to say anything because we need our jobs. Do not go to this place for medical treatment . I made the mistake don't you. I can't believe the Health Department lets this place stay open.

Kara Macdonald from Colonial Park Rome, came to our center for one of our events. She brought amazing door prizes and was very kind to our members. What was even more impressive was that she came days after Rome suffered a tornado. Colonial Park has Amazing staff and i just wanted people to know.

There is a select handful of staff here that take their job seriously and realize that what they do is important.. there is also a select handful of staff that treat their job as if they are working at walmart.. I’ve seen staff get extremely aggressive with visitors of patients and even allow patients to exit the facility although the doors are locked, not to mention the unprofessional behavior of lying when things like this happen. If your family member has any sort of mental illness or disorder I would not choose this place unless it was the only nursing home left in the world.. save yourself the hassle and find somewhere that actually takes their job seriously
