5-Star Review for Cliffside Rehabilitation My brother was admitted to Cliffside Rehabilitation after suffering a stroke, and our family had a very positive experience. 5-Star Review for Cliffside Rehabilitation My brother was admitted to Cliffside Rehabilitation after suffering a stroke, and our family had a very positive experience. When he first arrived, he was extremely weak and needed a great deal of assistance. Thanks to the rehabilitation services and the support he received, we saw noticeable improvement in his strength, mobility, and overall condition throughout his stay. Before his admission, I visited the facility for a tour with Noel, and I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They took the time to answer my questions and made me feel comfortable about my brother's transition to rehab. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and the rooms appeared neat and comfortable. One thing that really stood out was how smooth the transfer process was from the hospital to the rehabilitation center with Jennifer's help. The coordination was seamless, which made what could have been a stressful situation much easier for our family. Overall, we are grateful for the care my brother received at Cliffside Rehabilitation. The staff's professionalism, the clean environment, and the progress he made during rehab gave us confidence that he was in good hands. I would recommend Cliffside Rehabilitation to families looking for quality rehabilitation care for their loved ones.

This is the worst place to leave a love one. My cousin had such bad bed sores he had to be taken to the Hospital. They had to operate to clean and close the wombs. They never moved him . He had bed sores on the back of his head, back and more. They just washed his face. So we did not know .the blanket covered the rest of him. Please don't send your family member there.

I gave Cliffside 5 stars because my mom, Ms. Henry was on the 5th floor for over 3 months and the staff there made her feel so welcome. She couldn’t stop talking about how kind everyone was to her and how well everyone took good care of her. The 5th floor staff always made sure she had what she needed and wanted. My siblings and I were so worried when she fell and needed rehab and we were on edge about her being in a rehab facility but the 5th floor staff were so wonderful that it made us feel so much more at ease. If there is an award for care like a Daisy Award or something of the sort, the…

If there is an award for care like a Daisy Award or something of the sort, the 5th floor staff deserves it! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our mom! God bless you all!

In late 2025, my grandma was hospitalized at NYU Langone Hospital after suffering a fall. After receiving treatment and examinations, she was transferred to Cliffside Rehab, located on the third floor of the Asian section. During this period, she was cared for by dedicated nurses, various staff members such as Callista Nnadi, Gwi Sang Lee, Donna Ding, and Dhanipersaud Geeta. Their warm care and meticulous attention enabled her to transition from lying flat to gradually sitting upright, eventually being able to use a walker to regain her ability to walk. We are deeply grateful to the staff of the third floor Asian section and the center's fitness room. Their hardwork allowed her to recover quickly and gradually return to a normal life. Thank you once again! - room 314 Guan CH.

Nice people. Clean. No smell

EDIT: AS OF MARCH 12, 2026 I’m still being denied access to my father’s medical records. Do what you will with this information. Take heed when placing your loved ones in any facility that will acknowledge your representative status for payments, but not for access to records, billing details and care. I posted the document received from DOH for all to see in the photos of my review, emailed the facility on March 11, 2026 and is still being denied the records I’m demanding. A facility with nothing to hide would honor your next of kin, POA, etc….you have been warned. Place your loved ones here at your own risk! I am writing this as the daughter and Power of Attorney of a resident at this facility. Over an extended period of time, I experienced serious and ongoing communication issues with Cliffside Rehabilitation. While I consistently received billing statements, my repeated written requests for medical records, care documentation, and clarification of decisions affecting my father went unanswered. Staff would contact me when authorizations or payments were needed, but when I asked for information, records, or follow-up on care-related requests (including prior requests for evaluations and basic personal property inquiries), communication would stop. Emails often went unanswered for months at a time. There was also inconsistency regarding whether my authority as Power of Attorney was recognized. At times I was told to speak directly to my father, while at other times I was contacted as his designated representative. This lack of clarity made it extremely difficult to advocate for him or understand decisions being made. I eventually had to escalate concerns externally simply to receive acknowledgment. Families should not have to chase information or feel excluded while still being contacted about money. I strongly encourage anyone with a loved one here to keep detailed records, communicate in writing, and ask very clear questions from the start.

What my family experienced at this facility was horrifying, traumatic, and completely inexcusable. In my personal experience, the level of neglect my aunt endured here nearly cost her her life. The conditions were filthy, unsanitary, and utterly unsafe for any patient—especially someone who was medically fragile and fully dependent on staff for care. Staff repeatedly ignored her call button. She would press it while clearly in distress, and no one would come. Watching her be left helpless for long periods of time was infuriating and heartbreaking. This was not an isolated incident—it happened again and again. Her trach and feeding tube were not properly cared for, and her health visibly deteriorated while she was at this facility. The neglect was so severe that she became dangerously constipated, to the point where feces were visibly present at her anal opening. That is a complete failure of basic care and human dignity. As a family, we repeatedly raised concerns based on our direct observations. It was evident to us that she was becoming seriously ill. Each time we spoke up, our concerns were dismissed or shut down, and nothing changed. By the time she was removed from this place, she had to be hospitalized in critical condition. About three months later now, she is still in the hospital, dealing with serious complications, including thyroid issues. Even worse, her feeding tube site became so stretched and damaged that it ultimately had to be removed—something that, based on our understanding and what we witnessed, should never have happened with proper care. In my opinion, this was the direct result of the negligence she experienced at this facility. This place did not just fail my aunt—it destroyed her health and turned our lives upside down. The lack of care, sanitation, responsiveness, and basic compassion was shocking. I would never trust this facility with anyone I love. If you are considering placing a family member here, please understand the risk. What happened to my aunt should never happen to anyone.
