I have nothing but great things to say about Brookdale Liverpool! My father has been here for a year and they have just been fantastic! Everyone from the aids, to the cooks, the Activities director, to the head nurse to the director, are just fantastic! I will say when you get there it may take a litte bit for meds to get all fixed(they give all meds so you don't have to worry about it)but then you have no worries! They work with every resident for that residents issues and they are so pleasant as they do it. When your family member has to go to the hospital/rehab, they do everything they can…

They work with every resident for that residents issues and they are so pleasant as they do it. When your family member has to go to the hospital/rehab, they do everything they can to get them back to their little apartments. They do their laundry, cleaning everything. The activities are for every level and interest! The hairdresser is expensive but that is my only complaint! Oh and the food and desserts are good too!! I am so happy we picked here!!

Chris, Denise, Ted, Niki, Debbie, Kathy, Brian, Sue (hairdresser), the chefs and the rest of the staff really care about their residents. They have the passion needed to make a great facility for seniors needing extra care. Thank you !!!

We visited Brookdale Liverpool and toured for assisted living, and the community was fine. The building and its setup are very much the same as the other community we visited in Fayetteville, since they're owned by the same company. The rooms they had available here didn't have the nice view of the rooms that were available in the other community. That was one of the bigger reasons behind the decision not to go with Liverpool. Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same. The room here had a closet instead of an armoire, so that was nicer. The rooms were fine. The person who gave…

Other than that, everything else was pretty much the same. The room here had a closet instead of an armoire, so that was nicer. The rooms were fine. The person who gave us the tour was also very good. The dining area did not have tablecloths, but the setup was the same as in the other facility, so it looked fine. The room they had available here was also much farther away from the dining room than in the Fayetteville community, and that was also another reason why we went with the other place.

We chose Brookdale Liverpool because of the geography, recommended, and price. Friendly. Activities were the same old routine. Need to mix up with new activities more. Seems strictly for still independent, and constant base line care. Any changes in health needs difficult for staff to identify and assist. Very, very friendly.

I did not like Brookdale Liverpool. I thought it was dirty and rundown. The admission staff was very good and very helpful, though. Realizing that my mother wasn't a candidate for that place, he still offered that if I needed any help, to please contact him. There were only 40 people there. However, it's not a place where I would want to put a family member. The layout is fine, and it is smaller, so I think people can find their way around very easily. The sizes of the rooms were fine.

This is a quick review of Brookdale on Long Branch Road in Liverpool, N.Y. I am a friend of a resident who has been there since [date removed]. My Mother was in this same facility when it had a different owner around 2006 when she was 84. We were very pleased with her care! She never wanted to leave her house but she loved it there. My friend is much younger than my Mother. My friend is happy at Brookdale and really enjoys the company of others and the friendships she has made. I have sometimes eaten there with my friend and there is a nice variety of food choices. The residence is clean, freshly painted, warm and cozy in the gathering areas. The people who work there are kind and friendly. A few aesthetic things that I think could be addressed would be... keeping the entrance cleaner. I know lots of people go in and out each day so I think it is an area that maybe should be checked out often especially during the winter months. The gazebo outside has very old worn cloth cushions very uninviting. During the entire summer season they were never replaced! They did not look clean and I never saw anyone sit out there even though people sat on the benches right outside the building. Maybe something with material that was colorful and could be wiped down periodically would hold up better. I know my friend enjoys the activities at Brookdale: singing, Bookclub, special dinners, field trips to the store and places in the community, prayer services/ reciting the rosary and daily exercise. Another suggestion, I think the residents would enjoy more group games besides BINGO. My Mother enjoyed doing lots of crafts and even had an Easter hat she made for herself! The monthly cost is a little high but it is the going rate in our area and is proportionately within reason to the price we paid for our Mother so many years ago.

I was impressed with the genuine thoughtfulness that the staff showed to my mother and the understanding that this was an entire change to her living environment. They made the transition not only easy on mom but also on her family.

My uncle lives here and he loves bingo night and other events. When he comes to my home for a family function, he always insists to be back for the events scheduled. I think he has opened up more. I would give 10 stars if it was possible.
