As a resident of Woodhaven for almost 12 years I have found that the staff does and will go above and beyond to assist anyone. Our new administrator has successfully taken on the task of fixing all aspects of the building and makes himself available either in his office or being a part of activities throughout the day. A member of Case Management will make time to sit and discuss whatever is going on in the lives of residents and explain how each issue can be resolved. There are so many positive steps being taken and we are very happy to be part of the plan.
Woodhaven Cemetery would be a better name. Do not send your relatives to here unless you want to visit their grave in 3 months. Majority of the staff are rude and clueless.
Visiting my grandpa there, the staff was rude unprofessional and didn’t help at all. He was left unattended with bedsores.
I find the social workers and case workers to be very helpful even though Overworked! The nurses there in the assisted living are very good and caring. But the Director, Eugene Allen... I don't know what he is doing there... besides Nothing. He hides behind the female staff and takes no responsibility or initiative to do the right thing. They lost my mother's clothing... ALL OF IT! And the Director, Eugene Allen, could care less. She's been sitting in a rehab across the parking lot for almost a month with no clothing. The nurse aids at Allegria have been finding her clothing from those who passed away and left clothes there. Mr. Allen just keeps wasting time, passing me around to the female workers to answer for the problem and telling me to get my receipts together for THEM to get a dollar amount so THEY can buy her clothes afterwards. What a Joke! Otherwise, they should get someone more capable as a Director... maybe one of the women who already work there as this guy is Useless.
This staff is really bad. They care about themselves only.
Not the best but not the worst gives you a roof over your head you make the best out of what God gives you
As the weather warms, the ladies are dividing our orange and yellow Stella D'oro & Happy Returns daylillies, and also plant & prepare our truck & box gardens, while the men tidy up the property between weekly landscaper visits (the landscapers shape our beautiful shrubs, edge the walkways, etc; not just grasscutting). All part of our volunteer Garden & Groundskeeping committee, doing what they used to enjoy doing at home. Soon the residents will be sitting outside enjoying the expansive shade our Oak trees provide, while delighting in cavorting squirrels, chipmunks, and bluejays. It really is that nice!
Post pandemic, there is continuous improvement with a robust Resident Council and Administration. If you smoke, this is one of the few facilities currently with a designated smoking room, with direct access to a garden patio. What's not tolerated at Woodhaven? Hate speech and taking advantage of other residents. Check it out with a thorough onsite/virtual tour with an external case manager. I did!
