Victor Views Assisted Living

I received a phone call from the Rehab and Nursing Center that my mother was not progressing as expected and she was unable to return to her Senior Living Facility. I wanted to find a facility with the right staff to senior ratio, clean with a pleasant smell, happy seniors who like their menu/meals, and a facility that offers activities to keep their seniors engaged with others. I called Victoria Views and spoke with Alyssa. She invited me to come over without an appointment and check out her facility. No making an appointment with a specific staff member at a specific time of their choosing! I was extremely impressed by the “home-like”atmosphere of everyone I encountered. I arrived just before lunch and was able to observe staff/senior interactions for the lunch meal. I did not feel that anything was staged for my visit and there wasn’t a push to sign any contract. I spent two and a half to three hours observing interactions with staff/seniors, touring rooms (including restrooms), kitchen, laundry and felt the staff took pride in their work and workspace. I decided this was the perfect place for my 89 year old mother. Unfortunately, I drove to the Medina Rehab Ctr the next day and found my mother was in worse condition than I was lead to believe. I should mention that I live in Texas and my mother is afraid to fly, never traveled to Texas, and refused every invitation to come visit/stay with us. She is a small town LeRoy girl and doesn’t think she would do well in a big city of over three million people. If she can regain the ability to walk with her walker or regains the use of her left arm/hand - Victor Views is calling her name!! BTW everyone I met at Victor Views was friendly and knowledgeable!! Thank you all for answering my thousand and one questions. You owe it to yourself or your loved one to check this place out!!!

Our mother has been a resident at Victor Views Assisted Living for six weeks now, it has been life changing for our mom. The staff at Victor Views have been amazing! While they encourage independence, they are always there to provide assistance and keep mom safe. The coordination with PT and OT has helped mom make great progress. The outings (recently to Kershaw Park and a ride on the Canandaigua Lady) have been wonderful, enjoyable times for the residents. My sister and I have finally been able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that our mother is in a safe, caring, home-like environment. We are able to visit her frequently and take her out as we are able. I highly recommend Victor Views Assisted Living, and commend Alyssa and Zack Poole for their commitment to their vision. p.s.
