The staff here is absolutely wonderful. My family receives sessions of PT and OT daily and I’m seeing real improvements. The activities are also wonderful with many live performances and great film selection.
As promised, I will try to update as we go through this process to make it easier for the others I met going through this process… Not prepared for arrival! -wrong room on paper work -bed not made up for transfer and even identified that it might be the wrong mattress, but no one came to change it -no walk through of their process or any concern that this 86 year old may need assistance getting to the bathroom in a new place after using a commode at the hospital -4 person room is a terrible set up! We all know 4 person room at NYU, but here there is no walk way to get in and out without…

We all know 4 person room at NYU, but here there is no walk way to get in and out without walking in the private space of others! At minimum they should simply put up another curtain! -identified to nurse that she has the cream that was used on her sore, she said ok just leave it for her by the bed, but as I’m leaving this same nurse was leaving without ever going back in to use the cream on her *suggestion-do not do afternoon/early evening transfers from the hospital to this place Let’s see what today brings! Best of luck to all those that are picking a place today.

There’s a full schedule of activity and days of music Love it here The PT staff examine all options and tries many things to enable improvement. I’m thankful The PT works very good w/ patients. Every single person improves . My husband is actually starting to walk after 2 weeks here . They are positive • encouraging • nice . They are nice to the residents here so the residents are friendly to each other The cafe is awesome.…

My time at Upper East Side Rehab is as a visitor. A family member is rehabbing at this facility and has adjusted quite well. I appreciate the care she is receiving, as well as the care and kindness of the staff.
Great care by dedicated medical and housing staff.
My experience with Upper East Side Rehabilitation has been extremely disappointing and concerning. During my mother’s stay, she developed a pressure ulcer on her back, which should have been preventable with proper care, hygiene, and regular repositioning. In addition, some of the nurses handled her roughly at times, which was very upsetting to witness. It also appeared that the facility may be understaffed, as there did not seem to be enough attention given to patient care and monitoring. On top of this, a personal item (her AirPods) went missing. Families trust facilities like this to provide safe, respectful, and attentive care. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect that. I strongly urge others to stay vigilant and ask detailed questions. We will never return!
Your CNA’s and Nurse's are very professional polite and caring. Don’t find that in many facilities.
My husband was improving in his walking from sessions of PT and OT in the large, light-filled gym. He fell later when he tried to walk alone despite being warned not to. He seemed not to be hurt badly but had to be checked by Mount Sinai West. A nurse Ocify and the social worker Stephanie kept me posted on his condition, which I appreciated.
