[name removed] was incredible! We were having issues trying to convince my brother in-law that he needed to be in a place with more people around. He can be ornery. [name removed] exhibited the patience of a saint with him! I so appreciate her!
The Village South Setauket is awesome. While the facility has some cosmetic needs (it's an older building, but they are doing upgrades one area at a time), the staff could not be more lovely. My dad has been showered with attention, being called by name everywhere he goes. There are a wide variety of activities, with a daily schedule that rotates enough to stay interesting. Rent includes breakfast, dinner, and a light lunch. The location itself is great, across the street from restaurants and shops, and the Village provides rides to shopping trips. I toured The Village at South Setauket's assisted living facility for my mom. I felt like it was safer for her because she would be wearing a pendant. In case something happens, she just has to hit the pendant, which she will be wearing all throughout her stay. My mom also liked the place and told me she felt comfortable there. The apartments were very clean and spacious, and the person who gave the tour was very friendly. They helped us a lot and answered all my questions. The dining area was big, but I didn't check the food. During our visit, they were playing bingo with the residents, and…

The people at the facility are professional, and when you request something, they usually act immediately.
The Village at South Setauket offers a nice big room, and there's plenty of space in it. The staff was great. The tour went fine. It was good. The lady showed me all of it. They do a lot of activities. They have nice spaces for the residents, too.
It wasn't all they promised. The car service is nonexistent. The activities are usually the same. I think my dad is happy with them.
I visited multiple facilities in search for a place for my dad who was moving cross-country to be near his grandchildren. From the moment I called, the staff at The Village at South Setauket were warm, friendly, and welcoming. I met a variety of folks on my tour, and each one had worked there for no fewer than 7 years. It is clear that the staff is supported and supportive, and they work together as a team to ensure that the residents and their families are loved as if they were their own. I cannot say enough kind words about The Village at South Setauket. The living space, the food, the activities are all wonderful, but the staff is what really makes this place a home for my dad.
I am very pleased with the way the staff are attentive and take care of the residents. My mother really likes living there. I think they can have just a little bit more activities. Other than that, really love it.
