My father should have chosen The Villa at Westhampton over three years ago. In August 2025, my wife Crystal, my dad, and I visited Chelsea Boatwright, who provided us with a tour. During this visit, we shared the heartbreaking news that my father's daughter was terminally ill with cancer, and she sadly passed away the following month. Due to some health issues, my dad required short-term rehabilitation. When he was ready for discharge, Chelsea and two administrators visited him to discuss his care plan and address his concerns. He officially moved to The Villa at Westhampton on March 10, 2026. Now, nearly a month into his stay at The Villa, my father is receiving enhanced support he needs as he ages. Crystal took the initiative to set up his room with all his personal belongings, which made the transition smoother. As a registered nurse, Crystal is familiar with some of the staff, which has proven beneficial. We are genuinely delighted that my dad is now a resident, enjoying the care he requires. He appreciates the food, the welcoming environment, and the opportunity to socialize with fellow residents, and he is becoming stronger each day. On April 17th, 2026, everyone celebrated my dad's birthday. My wife and youngest son attended, and the cake was really good and baked and prepared at the Villas. They really care about my dad.
I love it here! I’ve been here for almost 2 years. I have no complaints. The food is delicious and all the staff is very nice and caring. I haven’t had an issue since I’ve been here and highly recommend.
I’ve been here for a little. Absolutely excellent senior care. Truly, marvelous food and the people get along really well. It’s amazing how many new friends I made here! I really like how everyone is helpful. I was apprehensive about coming here and I delighted now with being here.
PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES!!! Do not put them in this facility! This facility is consistently understaffed and lacks qualified caregivers to meet residents’ needs. The management team needs serious change, as their handling of residents and families is unacceptable. Our family experienced way too many incidents that raised concerns about safety and care quality. The last thing they did was they changed the locks and discarded all of the items left in my father's room before the 30-day period had expired—and then attempted to bill him for it, despite receiving notice from our attorney. Please do your homework before entrusting this facility with your loved one’s care. I share this only to prevent others from going through the same distressing experience.
Since attempting to secure an apartment for a family member in December, I have encountered significant issues with communication from the administrative staff at The Villas. I called multiple times to request the necessary paperwork to admit my family member, but I received no return phone calls or emails. How could they inform my family member that they would accept him without completing any paperwork? Initially, everything seemed fine, but then the situation quickly deteriorated. My family member was hospitalized with an infection and, after recovery, was sent to rehab. We repeatedly called The Villas to inquire about the possibility of my family member returning, but all our calls went unanswered. A staff member who no longer works there mentioned a decline in health and that the required level of care would not be available. Rather than speaking directly with me or my family member, The Villas chose to inform a visitor, through the receptionist, that my family member would not be allowed back. During the two months my family member spent in the hospital and rehab, I continued to pay rent without dispute. However, I questioned why I was being charged for an additional level of care when no care was being provided. When I spoke with the billing department, I was told there was "a lot of behind-the-scenes work" taking place. I found this questionable—what work could possibly be done on our behalf when we weren’t there? I also informed the billing department that I didn’t expect any further charges since The Villas had already communicated to someone (not to me or my family member) that we would not be allowed back. They then requested that I submit a letter of intent to vacate. Why should I have to do that if you aren’t letting us return? To avoid incurring additional charges, since I had already found another facility for my family member, I submitted the letter and arranged for all our belongings to be moved out and for the discharge paperwork to be signed the same day. I subsequently received a phone call from the Director, Ralph, who assured me that I would receive a refund for two months of level of care charges and that no further charges would be incurred. You can imagine my shock when I was billed for another month's rent, along with level of care charges. Despite my phone calls and emails, I received no response. Feeling frustrated, I visited The Villas to discuss the situation directly, as my previous attempts to communicate via phone and email had been fruitless. I spoke with Ralph again, and he reassured me that he was addressing the issue. However, three weeks is an unreasonably long time to wait for erroneous charges totaling almost $14,000.00 to be resolved. I eventually involved my lawyer and only received a response to my email after mentioning that I would file a complaint with the Department of Health. This situation is completely unacceptable. If it can happen to one person, it is likely occurring to others as well. It is disheartening to think about the implications for those who might not have someone advocating for them. I urge you not to enroll in ACH payments, as they may take your money without justification. Please be cautious before placing your loved ones in this facility.
Very comfortable to live- staff is absolutely outstanding. Activities are well planned and very fun. My husband and I have been coming here each summer and able to spend the beautiful summer each time. The staff treats the visitors and residents so nicely!
It was time for our 84 year old Dad to make the transition from living alone with difficulties to moving into an Assisted Living facility. We visited a few places without him to narrow the choices down but right from our first tour of The Villa we had a good feeling about it. They showed us around, answered every question and just made us feel very comfortable. They then set us up to have Dad come by and check the place out and meet the head nurse for an evaluation. She was great and after that second meeting we were all even more enthusiastic about the Villa. With her help and the help of the new Community Relations Director we got all the paperwork together and had Dad moved in within two weeks. The Villa is a very beautiful, well put together Assisted Living residence out at the edge of the Hamptons. Dad is very happy, he has made new friends already and the staff is so good at helping with his needs. Everyone is so friendly!! With 3 great meals a day in their 'restaurant', daily activities to keep everyone busy, all the help and medical assistance necessary and just a great overall feeling of Home it has been an easy transition for him. We highly recommend The Villa at Westhampton.
The medical aides & dining room attendants are top notch. Friendly to family & care deeply for the well being of the residences. The ladies in the activity center, keep the residence engaged. There is always something to do, whether it be mind games, exercise, reading the news or watching a movie. [name removed] is always so energetic and just an all-around joy.
