One of the best people I’ve ever met, my therapist, Patel, has been so kind to me. He takes such good care of me and goes above and beyond. Everyone on the floors greet me with a smile and make sure I’m well taken care of. Thank you to the nurses, the doctors, the concierge, the therapists, dietitians, social workers, and everyone else that has helped me! Highly recommend!
they have an excellent physical therapy program. Although the staff on the 10th floor is very nice, they are overworked and understaffed. Call button is antiquated and you frequently have to wait a half hour for an aide to come to help you. Most of the patients are quite elderly. If you are middle age, you will feel out of place. Rooms are nice, only two to a room, but an adjoining room shares the bathroom. The facility is extremely clean. TV Leaves a lot to be desired. It’s satellite with very few channels. They do have activities, such as bingo. There’s a park nearby, which they will take…

There is also a long-term resident facility, which is separate From Rehab. I had a wonderful staff assigned to me. Especially nurses, Margie and Heather And AIDS Carol, Gloria, and Shawna They were wonderful And you will not be disappointed if they are assigned to you. Social worker Rene is extremely helpful And knows the medical Insurance system in and out. I give the staff five stars but unfortunately they are overworked and the facility is understaffed. this of course Hinders their ability to take care of you the way they would like to
The Riverside was the key for my Grandmothers recover after a long stay at Mount Sinai. While it was not perfect all the time, the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy is exceptional here.
My mom was in this facility for about three months after leaving the hospital. She was in need of rehabilitation/physical therapy. After hearing so many horror stories about other rehabs, our family chose this one. It met all our expectations and more. The staff was pleasant, professional and super attentive. Most especially we would like to thank Yusef and Ebu who went above and beyond. We are so happy that we chose this facility and would highly recommend them to anyone else!
19 days post spinal surgery of my 70 year old mother and they decided to lower her pain management medication without her consent. No one checked on her pain levels all day. Meanwhile she wqs in so much pain she couldn't do her therapy. When as her daughter I asked to speak to the doctor I was told I would have to wait until Monday. From day one the facility has shown horrible care with managing her pain making her wait up to 2 hours and 40 minutes since her medication was due in various occasions. No amount of pleading on my part to the nurses or administration has changed the lack of empathy. My mother has shown distress signs by sitting and crying in her bed because her anxiety is so high, feeling ignored, impotent, and later targeted. And while I try to advocate for her care, they treat me like a nuisance.
Riverside is well known as that last and most desperate resort to put a loved one. I know from personal experience. My aunt did rehab there because it was close to my apartment and her care was sub par. Riverside is also a blight on the neighborhood. They are inconsiderate neighbors -- creating noise every morning every day and they refuse to address any of their neighbor concerns. Even getting someone on the phone is impossible. Stay away.
Great the staff was great they treated me very well specially Margie nurse Heather nurse Carol my care worker and Tamika the cleaner and my therapy workers Lindsay and Jazzv thank you to all of them the 10 floor staff was amazing they made sure that all my needs were met . Att Darren McKee 🙏❤️.I truly recommend it 10/10.
My mother just got to the facility. When I got there she was wet and her sheets were soak. She had feces up her back and you can tell from the stained sheets that it happened awhile ago because it had brown residue. My mom had a stroke and is non verbal. And she should be on a 2 hour turn. If someone was turning her they would have noticed this. This type of treatment is unfair and in humane.
