The Grove is nice and clean and the people have a smiley face! I recommend the Grove because there's every type of doctor, and give you any service that you need. They have a dentist and podiatrist even come in. The boys from rehab, Greg and Mauricio are so polite, kind and amazing. I am also impressed with how they clean the room, and also ask how I am at night
When faced with the decision to choose a place for mom we were overwhelmed at first. We were given a tour by Paula, and it exceeded our expectations. The facility is clean, residents are well cared for, and the Staff is exceptional. The grounds are well maintained and there is a host of suburban wildlife to enjoy when you take your loved one outside for a stroll on the walking paths. The electronic sign in/out process is easy and there is still a friendly Receptionist at the front desk every day ready to greet us with a smile. The electronic sign in/out process is easy and there is still a friendly Receptionist at the front desk every day ready to greet us with a smile. The nurses that care for my mom are top notch (Faina is our angel), and the Aides are excellent in providing the necessary care tailored to each residents needs. The Aides are patient, warm, caring, and exceptionally qualified. They take such good care of mom. No, it's not just their job, it's a calling, you can feel the warmth when they work and I'm grateful. Checking mom in at the beginning of her stay was easy, all of the departments come for a visit to introduce themselves and they immediately become familiar with the care plan so mom got just what she needed from day one. Even the tricks we use to get her to eat well, or participate in her PT/OT are incorporated. Simple little details that just let you exhale fully, knowing your loved one is well cared for. Mom is stronger, more alert than I've seen her in years and eats well. We know we found the right place for mom and it's nearby so we can visit every day. I recommend the Grove without hesitation for both acute and long term care.
I recently had a family member admitted to this hospital and visited frequently during their stay. During that time, I had the opportunity to observe RN Mr. Kim working on the unit. RN Mr. Kim is a man of few words, but his actions speak volumes. He consistently carried out his responsibilities with dedication and professionalism. Whenever I made a request or had a concern, he responded promptly and efficiently. His calm, dependable, and hardworking attitude stood out to me throughout our stay. His commitment to patient care and his strong work ethic made a positive impression on both my family and me. I wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank him for his outstanding service. Please extend my appreciation for all that he does.
My wife's stay at The Grove was lengthy (6 weeks). During this time the staff were professional, attentative, engaging and nice. The Physical Therapy and Recreation Therapy departments were excellent. My wife arrived via ambulance, not able to walk or stand. upon discharge she was able to walk (tentatively) on her own. Great job Divia and Greg. The recreation program was outstanding. There was a wide range of activities that would appeal to diverse interests. Great job, Tovah, Nathan, Nicole and the rest of the rec staff. Special shout out to the nursing staff and aides. They were wonderful. Thank You Sata, Eric, Lorna, and Roshana. I hope you never need the services offered, but if you do. I highly recommend The Grove at Valhalla. y
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care my mother has received at The Grove at Valhalla. The entire staff has been compassionate, attentive, and truly dedicated to her recovery and comfort. The rehab team has been exceptional, especially Greg and Divya, who have gone above and beyond with their professionalism, encouragement, and kindness. The nursing team has also been phenomenal — particularly Sata, Eric, and Lorna — for the outstanding care, patience, and support they provide every day. I also wanted to recognize the Social Worker, Shatira, who has been incredibly helpful throughout this entire process. Her guidance, responsiveness, and support have meant so much to our family. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mother is in such capable and caring hands. We are deeply grateful to everyone at The Grove at Valhalla for the excellent care and compassion they show to their residents and families.
Our elderly mother was recently at The Grove for rehabilitation. I wanted to share our experience. The care she received was exceptional and we can't say enough about the entire staff that truly cared for her. It's obvious they really care about their patients from the moment they arrive until the day they leave. A special shout out to the Director of Community Outreach. Ms. Gallo was a delight to work with. She was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. I would recommend the Grove at Valhalla to anyone looking for a quality nursing and rehab facility who really care about their patients and take pride in their professions.
Ot and pt are the best I have experienced I love the gym as it has a big window and good equipment. The grounds at the Grove are beautiful. Waking up to the trees are very replenishing for me as it make me feel relaxed especially when recovering from an accident . I have a special diet and the kitchen has worked very hard to give me the appropriate meals. The aides and all the staff are a best quality however there aren't enough aides especially on the weekend. The wait is too long sometimes to be cleaned up. All and all, I am glad I choose the grove for my rehab. I just wish they had more aids to help us
I am Maria 87 years old, and I have been at this place more than 1 time (4 times) and the people here are very sweet to me. I will really miss them because everyone is so sweet and so nice, and make you happy to be there.
