This facility is no longer deserving of the reputation it once had. Under previous management, it was considered one of the top nursing homes, but there has been a clear and disappointing decline. They cannot keep employees, and the constant staff turnover is obvious. This directly impacts care, as the quality of aides is inconsistent—some are attentive, but others are not meeting even basic expectations. The food is also unacceptable. Meals are consistently poor quality, unappetizing, and do not seem thoughtfully prepared, which is especially concerning for residents who rely entirely on the…

This directly impacts care, as the quality of aides is inconsistent—some are attentive, but others are not meeting even basic expectations. The food is also unacceptable. Meals are consistently poor quality, unappetizing, and do not seem thoughtfully prepared, which is especially concerning for residents who rely entirely on the facility for their nutrition. Between the staffing issues and the decline in food and overall care, I would not consider this a top facility anymore and would strongly suggest families look elsewhere.
My sister receives the best medical care she has ever had! She is developmentally disabled and when I visit she seems happy, well-fed and well taken care of.
My father lives in the memory care unit, and the staff is amazing. You are always going to find one person not to your liking, but I can say that they are so attentive and proactive. It has given me real peace of mind to have my dad there. He was unmanageable at home due to his dementia. 7.29.25 I wanted to follow up on my earlier post. My dad passed away in January 2025 after a brief illness. The staff was so kind and attentive during this time. They quickly arranged for last rites, which would have been so important to him; they were constantly keeping us updated on things and consulted…

It has given me real peace of mind to have my dad there. He was unmanageable at home due to his dementia. 7.29.25 I wanted to follow up on my earlier post. My dad passed away in January 2025 after a brief illness. The staff was so kind and attentive during this time. They quickly arranged for last rites, which would have been so important to him; they were constantly keeping us updated on things and consulted with us, they brought us snacks so we didn't have to leave, and sent in the musicians to play for him. To be ushered out of this world with such peace is a tremendous gift. The staff was so kind, and all stopped by to tell us how much they cared about him. On our worst day, we couldn't have asked for more. His last days were reflective of his overall care throughout his stay. The staff genuinely cared for my dad. They were so proactive and kept me apprised of everything. I was never blindsided by anything, and I know he lived as long as he did due to this exceptional care. That is a gift. If you want to be active and involved in your loved one's care, they will meet you there. We are grateful we had the ability and opportunity to place my dad here.
My parents moved into Friendly Home. It's a great facility. It's rated number one in New York State. They're very attentive. They have nurses and they have nurse practitioners on call. They have a social worker. They are in a shared room that's got a wall, but because they're together they got this shared room to themselves. They have their two recliners and a TV, and then they have two twin beds on the other side because they've set it up for a couple. They have all kinds of social events downstairs and they're both doing physical therapy. I think the food is excellent. They're phenomenal compared to other places around here.
Patients are being neglected, and having things stolen from them. The staff swears because the patients are having memory issues, that they can steal freely. They talk to them disrespectfully at times. I would not recommend this place for even a dog.
Wouldn't put my dog there.
This is a great place with wonderful people! I spent seven weeks in rehab there until just after last Thanksgiving. I want to say Thank You and Hi to Dee, Eva, Becky, Hannah, Josh, Megan, Tim, Ben, John and many others. You know who you are. I miss you! Linden Rm 410 Marylou Lagana
Great staff! Nice eat-in area too!
