I honestly can’t say enough good things about The Fountains at RiverVue. My 93-year-old mom moved in last summer, and from the very beginning, she felt genuinely welcomed. It just has that kind of warm, friendly atmosphere. What really stands out is the staff. So many of them have been there a long time, which says a lot. You can tell they truly care. Over and over, we saw people go out of their way to treat my mom with kindness, respect, and real dignity, and that meant everything to us. There’s also always something going on - activities every day that are actually interesting and fun, not…

Over and over, we saw people go out of their way to treat my mom with kindness, respect, and real dignity, and that meant everything to us. There’s also always something going on - activities every day that are actually interesting and fun, not just filler. My mom also loved sitting out on the patio in the summer, reading her newspaper and chatting with other residents. It just feels like a community in the best sense of the word. Looking back, my only regret is that she didn’t move there sooner. It was such a positive change from the increasing isolation she was starting to feel at home 'aging in place'. Very grateful for this place and the people in it.

One of the reasons we chose the Fountains for my mother in law was because the cost was reasonable and we were paying for it. Usually when you pay less you get less, but that was not the case with the Fountains. The staff is exceptional. Many of them are long time employees, which is not typical at assisted living facilities. There is always an activity for the residents and my mother in law loved the food. The facility is over 20 years old and not lavish. However, they made major updates and redecorated while my mother in law was there. The setting is quiet, with many beautiful views. My…

The facility is over 20 years old and not lavish. However, they made major updates and redecorated while my mother in law was there. The setting is quiet, with many beautiful views. My mother in law loved to sit outside on the front patio in the warm weather and talk and take in the scenery. The facility was purchased by Monarch last, and I was bracing for them to ruin things, but that has not been the case. We are thankful we found the Fountains.

The people especially are so helpful I feel very comfortable with having my father in that facility . He says the food is amazing and the facility is super clean

Our initial experience at The Fountains was disappointing. The staff was unprepared to receive my mom, and her emergency bracelet failed to work throughout the entire week we were there. Despite my repeated alerts, it took three days to convince them to test it. Additionally, no staff responded when I pulled every emergency button in her apartment, as the bracelet clearly wasn’t functioning. I strongly recommend that families test their loved one’s emergency devices, regardless of assurances. One aide also made my mom’s bed while attempting to cover up an accident, ignoring the soaked mattress. This was unacceptable, especially considering the high cost we’re paying. The quality of nursing care varied significantly — some staff were excellent, but others provided subpar care. The first week was particularly distressing, and we had to escalate the situation with a call to the Executive Director, [name removed]. While she offered a sincere apology, progress in addressing the issues was slow. At upwards of [fee removed] per month, we expected much higher standards. While it’s better than previous facilities we have experienced - the level of care still fell short of expectations for many months. Communication was another challenge — staff rarely answered the phone, and assistance with coordinating outside appointments was minimal. It’s crucial to manage expectations, especially for out-of-town families, as they will likely be left to navigate many of these challenges alone. That's a BIG deal. On a positive note, The Fountains offers many onsite activities in a beautiful space, and has good dining options. The residents enjoy the food in a restaurant like atmosphere. Art classes. Movies and frequent religious services are available along with a great physical therapy team and area on the lobby floor. There is a reliable shuttle service for transportation.

The Fountains has had a total renovation. The place look great. If your loved one is more independent The Fountains is a good place. If your loved ones requires assistance you may want to look elsewhere as there is not enough staff. On a good day you may find 3/4 caregivers for the entire building. On overnights there are 2 caregivers for the entire building. The weekends the staffing is less. There are daily activities but a lot of downtime without activities. The food is good and there is a nice variety offered.

For families that are reading these posts as they do their due diligence as I did for my uncle, you have found the right home for your loved one. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by Keisha, with her sweet personality and big smile, I felt a sense of warmth & welcome. Katrina (the best), walked me through the process and tempered all my concerns with regard to my uncle and making this move into independent living. It isn't an easy decision to make a life changing event for a loved one. But she put my mind at ease and we moved forward. It was the best decision. From the nursing staff (Millicent & Karen), to the activities director (Regan), to the relations manager (Arielle), to the maintenance staff, they are all simply the best. Honestly, one big family. I have to say it put my mind at ease knowing my uncle was taken care of and excelled during his time at Rivervue. Thank you!

Just by me entering into the community to where it reside. It was such a beautiful view. Very Clean and The staff was warm and welcoming. The residents were awesome as well.

As a senior care professional I can say with confidence that The Fountains at RiverView is an exceptional assisted living community that truly understands the needs of its residents and their families. The staff is not only professional but also compassionate, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The community is beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed to promote comfort and engagement for seniors. Arielle, Christine, Katrina, Maureen are all so incredibly talented, dedicated and supportive to their families. I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with the team as a Dementia Care Practitioner and have witnessed their commitment to providing high-quality care and personalized attention. The variety of activities and programs offered ensures residents stay active and connected, contributing to their overall well-being.
