Our entire experience at The Bristal of Massapequa has been OUTSTANDING! After spending almost a year at a facility that was substandard and failing to show proper care and attention, we moved our 93 year old debilitated mother into The Bristal. She has been there around 6 weeks now. The difference is absolute night and day. We can't say enough about it. To begin, the facility is absolutely beautiful. It is like a luxury hotel, so clean, where everything is spic and span. I even saw a team member dusting individual leaves of the plant in the front lobby. (That was very impressive to me!!) The…
Our entire experience at The Bristal of Massapequa has been OUTSTANDING! (That was very impressive to me!!) The "apartment" is lovely, equipt with furniture, spacious bathroom, and walk in closets, as well as a common area with a sink, cabinets, a microwave, and mini refrigerator. There is a wellness office on site, and medical staff available always. Additionally, There are all kinds of separate rooms for various activities (Beautiful common rooms to hang out in, activity rooms, game rooms, art and crafts, bistro, the list goes on and on). They even have their own movie theater!! There are numerous groups and clubs designed to meet individual interests. There are also day trips to interesting activities in the community. They decorate and have themes for every holiday and occasion. The large dining hall is truly an exclusive restaurant with unbelievably delicious food. We know that because they just hosted a BEAUTIFUL Mother's Day Brunch with and array of yummy food, soup to nuts!) This now brings me to the STAFF. Probably the most impressive of all. Each and every time, we are greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism from EVERY SINGLE team member. Being new and still trying to acclimate to the transition, we ask A LOT of questions and make many requests. We are ALWAYS met with kindness and patience. The individual care and attention that residents and their families receive is exceptional. I need to do a shout out several staff, starting with Reception, DOUGLAS, PAULINE, MAURA, LYNN, & VANESSA,(always with a smile and willingness to help in anyway ) And thank you, KELLY, (the lovely lady who we were lucky enough to run in to to find out about this gem), to CODY (our amazing case manager who we keep very busy!), to JENNIFER (the Executive Director who is always available to assist with whatever inquiries we have), to the helpful Health Office staff, HEATHER, CHILLITTA, and TODD (others we haven’t met) to the enthusiastic recreation staff, SHANNON and CAROL, to BOBBY (maintenance who goes above and beyond for us), and to all the hardworking AIDES and RESTAURANT SERVERS and STAFF, too many to name. It is such a relief to see our mother living a lifestyle of dignity with healthy interactions. We can now sleep at night know our loved one is safe and secure. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE at Massapequa Bristal!!
I love this Bristol I have been going there for 2 years as a companion for a resident. I am so impressed by the activity that they provide for the residents always looking for a new activity for them to enjoy. The activity sheet they provide the residents every day to help them with anything to exercise to playing dominoes. But that is not it all I see are smiles from the amazing staff. I am also a companion to a resident in another facility but hands down the Bristol is my favorite I always call it my happy place
My Aunt spent three years in the Memory Care Unit at the Bristal in Massapequa. It is very stressful watching a loved one in this situation and witnessing the continual decline associated with dementia. The entire staff at the Bristal made the final three years of my Aunts life very special. She thrived within the community, established a group of friends and was always kept active. Special thanks to Nova, Sally, Janett, Carolyn and Shannon for always providing extra care.
The Bristal in Massapequa is amazing. Our mother has been living there since March 2025 and it has been the best experience. Mom has made friends, enjoys the activities and is always excited about the daily entertainment. The food and her dining companions are wonderful. Her energy level is up, she is much more social and living a great quality of life. Thanks to the employees and management for making the Bristal a special place for our mom.
I am very grateful for the amazing care and compassion shown to my mother during her time at the Bristal Massapequa. The staff is amazing!
This is the place for your loved ones !! Everyone here treats residents like family and they bend over backwards to meet their needs. Also, the staff is very sensitive and accommodating to family member's concerns so that the residents can have the best experience possible.
I am incredibly grateful for the care and kindness my grandparents have received since moving into The Bristal at Massapequa. From the moment I first visited, I was struck by the warmth and professionalism of the entire staff. It’s clear that this is more than just a place to live — it’s a true community. The staff at The Bristal are compassionate, attentive, and always go the extra mile to make residents feel comfortable, safe, and at home. From the friendly greetings at the front desk to the engaging activities, every detail feels intentional and caring. My grandparents have truly blossomed since moving in. They've made new friends, participated in daily events, and often share stories about how much they enjoy the sense of community. Knowing they are in a place where they are not only well cared for but genuinely cared about gives my family so much peace of mind. We’re thankful to everyone at The Bristal at Massapequa for the incredible work they do every day. It’s clear that this is a team that leads with heart — and it shows.
The Bristal at Massapequa is a beautiful community! I had the pleasure of being a part of a wonderful event that they hosted and the staff were very organized, friendly and professional. The food was absolutely excellent and I felt like we were at a 5-star restaurant! Jennifer and Kelly are so kind and caring and do everything they can to make sure you have what you need. I highly recommend The Bristal at Massapequa. They have so much to offer in their community and the staff and management are a pleasure to work with!
