Resident & family reviews

Very well run! Friendly and efficient staff and such fun recreational activities. You feel safe and cared for here. Its the people that make this place different. Highly recommended!

I called to be admitted into Taconic. My social worker from the Renaissance put in a referral and they denied me. They kept saying I was calling, but I was trying to find out if I was accepted and they should be a better person and tell me themselves to stop calling instead of going through my social worker.

They are just so wonderful. Truly caring people. Residents are their main concern.

Excellent care....and positive experience, team environment, Nursing Staff are always helpful and quick to respond to needs.

My mother was a resident at Taconic since Nov of 2024. Thank goodness for the staff at the Taconic - they were all so helpful to me personally throughout her journey and more important, they showed my Mother kindness, patience and loving care up until her end just two weeks ago today. I will forever be grateful to the staff at the Taconic - especially Zulma, Keisha, Jenn P, Liz, Abby, Jenn G, Leara, Evelyn, Minnie, Sam and Katey (who doesn’t work there anymore).

Not one patient here is happy with the staff and nursing. They are neglected. Its awful

The physical therapy is wonderful and very helpful. I got great care from Eric and Melissa, 2 of the nurses and Jayson the aid was great. There were times when I was in pain and it took a long time to get the medicine. The food was lousy except for a few meals. One of the overnight aids has a bad attitude, I don’t know her name.

I visited a friend who had his leg amputed. This was my first time at the facility and found the majority of the staff to be pleasant and professional. When I was leaving, the patient asked me to tell the nurse that he needed to use the bathroom. I told the first nurse that I saw, and her response was, “I’m not his nurse, his nurse is having lunch and I can’t help him by myself”. I found her response to be unnecessary and unprofessional. I understand being short staffed, but the response could had been different. Unfortunately patients are at the mercy of the nurses on duty, so the nurse should have at least made an effort to get help rather that expecting the patient to wait for his assigned nurse to return from lunch.
