There is much more could be said about her being cleaned but, wouldn't matter now. She went from sprinting halls to comatose in months of them drugging her because they didn't want to deal with her dementia. The rooms were not cleaned good. They moved her in another room of.which had another residents teeth in medicine cabinet whole time mom.was there. Never taken out or cleaned from last resident. Lost alot of her pajamas she had. Biggest mistake we ever made. Life was sucked out of her and it wasn't due to the disease. Think twice. Visit the place a few times and watch and see. Its not like it used to be! 😭
My mom was a resident at Sunrise Nursing Home from December 2024 to July 2025. She received excellent care. The nursing home itself is an older facility and a bit dated. The rooms are small. But it was evident that the staff cares about the residents there. They would often stop in just to say hi to her and to give her a hug, even if they weren't assigned to her that day. The nursing home itself did not have that "nursing home smell" that many facilities we had been to had. I am grateful for the care and attention she received during her final days.
My husband and I have both been at Sunset, at different times, for rehabilitation after illnesses. We each were treated very well and appreciated the care given.

The therapy department is so attentive to the patients and their needs at Sunset that I can’t say enough good things about them for how they are treating my friend/“adopted” mom. The whole staff in general is utterly amazing as well and they are so very helpful! My friend lived your typical rehab/nursing home horror story for 13 months at another facility and I told the social worker at the hospital that particular facility was off the list immediately when he mentioned it when my friend was still in the hospital! I am so very grateful that I had spoken up for her and she got sent to Sunset!! They are actually doing great therapy sessions with her!! My friend was actually discharged today from Sunset Rehab and Nursing Center after she received the care that she needed! I would highly recommend/encourage people who need physical/occupational therapy, or a nursing, facility to consider Sunset in Boonville. The staff is amazing!!
First visit. Nice place, parking and entering easy. Building clean and plenty of help. Staff helpful.
Courteous and polite
Admission process much improved over last time we were here, last time was April 2024. Room clean & setup. Staff ready to greet us, perform the initial assessment & set expectations.
